Upon purchasing our new home, we contracted Krypton Pest Control for tenting due to termite activityWe did this before moving in, to make it as easy as possible on our familyWithin a couple months of living in the house, we noticed active termite activity and called them for a re-tenting (covered through their warranty)We were given a date several months outApparently, new business is scheduled right away and warranty service takes much longer We were given a date in July and made all the preparations, including renting a hotel and packing all of our food & medicine for the time we would be out of the houseWe called that Monday to confirm with the salesperson, who had performed the inspections/assessments both times, and were told that the tenting would be done that Friday and that we should have a call from the office by the end of business on ThursdayThat call never came inWhen we called our contact, he got us in touch with the office manager and we were told that we were not on the scheduleWe explained how we had waited months for this date and had everything packed and a hotel rentedShe simply said that she makes the schedule and that the salesperson did not have the authority to give a dateBottom line: we were screwed and Krypton was unwilling to attempt to make things rightWe were then given a date in August and were told to try our best to get a refund for the hotel stayThat is the extent of customer service that was provided Our date in August came around and we ended up having to re-pack everything and ended up staying with relativesThe tenting was done on a Friday and we were told that we would have our keys back on Sunday at 7:AMOn Saturday morning, I decided to pass [redacted] the house to see what was going onThe tent had already been removed and the windows were left open as to ventilate the premisesHowever, there was not a single sign warning of poisonous gasI promptly called the technician who had performed the tenting and told him, to which he said that it was not a problemHe went on to say that he verbally told my wife that we were not allowed to enter the property until the next morning at 7:AMI told him that the law states that signs "shall not be removed until the end of the fumigation period, when ventilation has been completed and the premises declared safe for reoccupancy" as per 5E-Fumigation Requirements - Prefumigation Inspections, Evacuation, Warning Notices (Signs), Special Safety Precautions and ResponsibilitiesI told him that he must return to the home at once to place the signsHe then got defensive and told me that he knew more about his work than I did and that he was not going back to my homeI then called the salesperson and told him what I found upon returning to my homeHe told me that he was "sick and tired of everyone googling something and thinking they know more about this stuff than (he does)"When I told him that I was referring to the laws written in www.flrules.org (The Department of State's Administrative Code, Register and Laws Section -the filing point for rules promulgated by state regulatory agencies), which regulates his industry, his attitude quickly changedI informed him that these laws were there to protect us as well as his businessHe then called the technician and convinced him to go back to my home The technician then placed the signs at all doorways, as mandated by state law, and placed key locks on all of the door locksHe then retaliated and told me that the company does not work on Sundays and that I was now going to have to wait until Monday to get my keys since I "want to go by the book now." I had to take the morning off of work on Monday in order to move all of my family's belongings back into our house From start to finish, the entire experience with Krypton Pest Control was unprofessional and disrespectfulI hope my review will save people from wasting their time, money, and energy with a company that doesn't value their clientsI would never refer anyone to this company and hope that they are investigated and eventually closed for good
