Mr***, I just received this email from the Revdex.com and I’m very surprised to see itFor years and years we’ve been installing 3000+ new roofs per year and we have an outstanding Revdex.com ratingSpeaks volumes about us here at MK Custom Roofing Nevertheless, It’s unacceptable for a rep from MK to have not spoken with you regarding the concerns with your roof installationI will get to the bottom of thatOur service man Roger and you never spoke? Perhaps he only talked with the [redacted] rep if not with you With the roof being on your home years with no noted issues in our system here, the roof must’ve been performing as designed toOnly note I see was concerning a skylight leakSeeing the following note that it was water tested and no water came in, my assumption would be it was a condensation issue on the underside of the glass rather than an installation issue My understanding here is that your home did not have starter shingles installedThat’s a most common installation procedure with all roofing companiesRoofers cut the tab shingles long ways and use the solid strip remaining as a starterThen the balance of the tab shingles ordered for each home is used as hip and ridge capsThis practice has been in place long before I started roofing in Just saying this to let you know that we didn’t take any shortcuts on your home’s roofI see no notes regarding any type of service on your roof since Has there been another time or times that you had a roof issue since then that’s not here in the notes below? Just making sure I’m operating with all the pertinent information here I am glad to hear you had the concerns addressed to your satisfactionAnd we’re certainly willing to reimburse you the $you spent paying some other roofing company to make I would like to propose to you that we agree to; MK reimburses you the $and I’ll want to see the invoice from the other roofing company if you can shoot me a copy of it pleaseThen, You communicate to the Revdex.com that we resolved your complaint fully and satisfactorily Soon as you let me know we have an agreement, and send over the invoice copy, I’ll ask our office manager to send you out a check right away In all the years I’ve been with MK, and the 300+ homes I built that they roofed prior to me joining the company, this is the first time I’ve seen a complaint like thisAnd we have roofed approx7000+ [redacted] Homes since yours Bottom lineI just want to make things right with you but at the same time let you know that we are a Highly thought of and well respected company to 1000’s of homeowners a year, of the top volume homebuilder’s in DFW as wellMany of them for 10+ years nowWe aren’t perfect of course but we strive to maintain great relationships with all our clients, builder’s, suppliers and so on So I’m sure you can sense the pride I have in our company and the respect MK Roofing earned from me after roofing so many homes for me over the yearsHopefully I’m not coming across any other way than proud of our companyI do not intend to if so Kindest regards, [redacted] [redacted] ***

Unlike the business who left a message and a reply to the complaint four hours afterwards I have waited a week for a response*** from MK Roofing contacted me on Tuesday December 8, and we spoke regarding the complaint filed with the Revdex.comHe instructed me that he would call me the next day to set up a time to come and look at the roof although it was not covered by their warranty
No call from MK Roofing since we spoke on the 8th of DecemberI called *** on Monday, December 14, to see why they have not called me back as per our conversation on December 8thI have received no call back as of this writing

Perhaps he only talked with the [redacted] rep if not with you.   With the roof being on your home 4 years with no noted issues in our system here, the roof must’ve been performing as designed to. Many of them for 10+ years now. We aren’t perfect of course but we strive to maintain great relationships with all our clients, builder’s, suppliers and so on.   So I’m sure you can sense the pride I have in our company and the respect MK Roofing earned from me after roofing so many homes for me over the years.
