Krystle Kleen Auto Sales Reviews (2)

I purchased a 2007 [redacted] car from Krystle Kleen Auto Sales on [redacted] for [redacted] cash Prior to buying the car, when I test drove the car I noticed it some issues. I asked the owner and his son to change the shocks and struts because from the way the car drove it sounded like it needed them and an oil change. I came back on Wednesday, and I was told that they had been replaced. I immediately brought the car to be inspected and it passed inspection. Inspection only looks at certain safety things such as tie rods etc. They don't look at the struts or shocks. After the inspection I drove the car home and I noticed it still had the same noise. I had my brother in-law who is a mechanic look at it and he told me that all the struts and shocks needed to be replaced, as well as the ball bearings. The next day I noticed that the reverse lights on the vehicle were not working either so I brought the car back to the dealership and told them about the reverse lights. I asked if the struts and shocks had been replaced. At first I was told yes and then later found out they did not change them at all. The oil change was done. I came with a list of things that needed to be repaired because I was going to give this car to my daughter. The owner of the dealership was saying that I was absolutely right, that we need to make this car safe for her to drive.Things needing to be replaced or repaired-Reverse lights to be operational-Ball Bearings front and backShocks and StrutsGasket valveSuffices to say after several weeks of going back and forth with this dealership, they claimed that they replaced all the struts and shocks and put a new rear drum on the passenger side, but they were still having issues with the reverse lights. And now the ABS light and Traction Control light were on as well. The dealership sent the car to another mechanic down the streets to take a look at it and they could not determine why the reverse lights were not working properly. I also asked why only one drum was done, usually if you replace one you have to replace the other one as well. I got no explanation from the owners. The mechanic they used told me if he had the pieces to fix the car he would. The owners were not purchasing the pieces he needed to fix the car right. He could only fix or replace things that were made available to him to fix. At that point I was a little frustrated and expressed my frustration to the dealership and told them that I was done and I wanted my money back. The owners son started to give me a hard time telling me that since the car passed inspection they really did not need to do anything more to it that usually they would charge a [redacted] deductible and they have not charge me that to do the work they did to it already. Again I expressed my frustration and told them to get it right, to fix the reverse light issue and the ABS and traction control light. When I finally got the car back, the reverse lights was working and the ABS light was off. I drove the car hoping to never dealing with this dealership again. The continued to make noises but it also appeared like the dealership was not going to do anything more to fix the problems with the car. They dragged their feet long enough until I got tired and ended up doing the work myself. This brings me to this weekend [redacted] Prior to the weekend of [redacted] I had another mechanic look at the car and I was told that the axle needed to be replaced and the fuel filter needed to be replaced. The car was lifted and was noted that it had two different struts on the front end of the vehicle. It appeared as though they replaced one of the struts and left the old one on. The new strut that was replaced on the passenger [redacted] of the vehicle by the dealership, it did not match the strut of the driver's side. To top it off it was put in incorrectly which could have caused a serious accident. The mechanic was able to install it properly, but stated that I needed to get new struts before we put in the new axle. The dealership went to great length to drag the feet in this whole process, which could have caused serious injury if the axle broke off or the tire came of the car while driving it.So to summarize they put in one rear drum which eventually failed because it was installed incorrectly and they put in one strut which did not match which caused the axle to get damaged. Now I have to replace both struts on the front and the front axle on the passenger side. If you have any questions regarding this complaint, please do not hesitate to contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXXDesired SettlementI want this dealership to pay for the expenses that need to be done to fix this vehicle properly and I DON'T want them anywhere near this car. They have a mechanic who is unlicensed, who they pay peanuts because as they describe it,"IT"S CHEAP LABOR." Cheap labor at the expense of consumers is not right especially, if the consumer is not aware and the vehicle is not safe to drive. I have already invested close to [redacted] in this vehicle. I see why they took a short cut on the struts, they just did not want to pay the money it costs to repair them properly because they can range from [redacted] - [redacted] each with springs, easy to assemble. If you buy the strut itself it ranges from [redacted] to [redacted] each. They did not want to pay
