Review: I had a very negative experience with this dealer. I actually had a vehicle sold out from under me. Speaking with the owner I had expressed interest in a used car and had agreed to purchase the vehicle. Being from out of state, I agreed to fly into town to drive the vehicle home & the owner agreed to hold the vehicle until my arrival within the week. When I offered to provide a deposit, the owner assured me that it was not necessary as I had booked a non-refundable airline ticket. I agreed to provide a cashier's check upon arrival for the full purchase price.
Here is where things broke down. Two days before departing, I called the dealer to verify the availability of a temporary tag. To my surprise, I was told the vehicle was already sold. Not only a deposit on the vehicle but that the new owner had already taken ownership. The salesman even tried to sell me a different car at this point. Keep in mind, this was after I already had a certified cashier's check and non-refundable airfare for a one way trip.
Upon calling and talking to the owner once again, it was verified that the car had been sold. Instead of taking ownership of the mistake, he proceeded to backtrack on his word. He became very angry on the phone when I requested at least my airfare expenses be paid. The conversation ended when the owner forcefully hung up on me.Desired Settlement: As the vehicle is no longer available, I would simply like my non-refundable airfare paid for at this point. My one way ticket cost $193.50.
