In response to the claim made by [redacted] that my company K and S Construction had broken its agreement I would have to disagreeFirst their claim that they were overcharged $there was never a agreed upon price the contract they signed was for work to be done at a hourly rate with a approximate estimate of how much I thought the work was going to costDuring the course of the project I ran into a few complications which made the project go on a little longer than I had first expectedThat is where the extra $in dispute came from as well as they added on approx $worth of work on in the middle of the project which obviously made the project take longerI explained the complications I came across to the [redacted] and the reasons they were being charged the amount they were but they did not seem to agree that they should have to pay the full amountI still haven't been paid in full for all the hours I have put into the job and there is still approximately 6-hours of work left to complete the jobBut I refuse to complete the job for free if they wish to pay me in full for the amount of hours I work on the job I would gladly com back and complete the work and clean up the job siteIn response to the claim that I did permanent damage to their home only thing I believe they could be talking about is when I did tile work on the house that there was tile dust spots left on their outside walkwayWhich I would have gladly cleaned up and would have normally cleaned up upon completion of work at the end of the job like I always do on every jobBut because of lack of payment I never got to go back to the job and clean up any mess I made that they may be referring toIn my defence when they told me they felt they were overcharged I went as far as to have another contractor that I work with go meet the [redacted] with all my receipts and my contract for the job and had him go over the entire job and come up with a estimate to compare to mine to see if I was being reasonableThe other contractor came up with a price that was very close to mine and he wasn't even aware of the complications I came across which more than made up for the little difference we came up with in our pricesTo me it seems the homeowner just didn't want to pay full price for the job even tho the work that was completed is of the highest qualityI would like this claim to be taken off my record because I find it to be a outrageous claim that is going to have a negative effect on my business which only dose the highest quality work at a reasonable price Sincerely, [redacted] K and S Construction
