K's Training & Learning Center Reviews (1)

I was referred to this center from 2 friends who took her CNA course and got through the program with ease.
I started contacting Mrs. [redacted] in September maybe even earlier discussing my upcoming wedding and my plans with school starting Jan. We were discussing my busy schedule and when would be a fitting time for me to take my 5 week course. She was hard to get ahold of from the start but being a busy woman I didn't really pay to much attention to the lack of urgency I felt when texting or trying to contact her. I did feel however as if every time we tried to come up with a game plan for when I would start she would just kind of throw it under the rug and say, "well we will see when class starts". I did express my fear of not getting the class done in time with my wedding schedule and the holidays and she assured me "girl you pay me 1000 bucks and Ill teach you whenever, we can make our own schedule, whatever we need to do". After that was said I felt safe knowing we WOULD figure it out. We after the months went by settled on me starting my program early November, given 5 weeks of class I would be done well before Christmas and have a couple of weeks to study for my boards. The day of class I arrived promptly to class along with another student and when we walked into the office she said "hi ya I only have two student so class is canceled"... you can imagine my deer in the headlights look when I just woke up at 7:30 am to make it there on time, had my entire work schedule arranged around this class and had already put a down payment on my class. I was hoping she would give me some sort of explanation or apologize but she had no remorse. Pretty [redacted] off at this point I tried pulling information out of her by asking "okay well do you mean just until Monday, or until payments are processed, what do you mean class is canceled?". She simply said "I refuse to teach a class with 2 students so I'm canceling it. I might get students from a near trade school but if not you will have to wait till I'm ready to teach you".
1. You only had 2 students and you didn't think to shoot them a quick text not to waste there entire morning driving down to your classroom and you would text them with further instruction the following day.
2. Your classroom is only big enough for maybe 10 students. with 2 students in front of you 2200 bucks in 5 weeks doesn't seem so bad when compared to 0.
3. The lack of professionalism you presented and lack of care for the people in front of you makes me NEVER want to give you a dollar.
What upset me the most was she genuinely didn't seem to care at all that she was playing with our future.
Finally she looked at me with a nasty smirk and said "well there's nothing I can do, do you want you refund"
I responded "no I don't want my refund I want to take the class"
She has told us she would contact us by Thursday with information if she got more students or not. Thursday came and I got no text or calls. The weekend passed and I received no text or calls.
I finally texted her Monday asking to pick up my deposit and fingerprint card and she responded with a Tuesday 3 hour time frame for the entire week. Having to switch my work schedule around for this woman yet again I went down to pick up my deposit. She wouldn't look at my, rudely wrote out my check and handed it to me without saying a word. I asked "don't you have some of my stuff in a folder" she proceeded to lift the folder with my name on it, face it towards me and open it nice and big so I could see there was nothing in it, still not speaking and letting her actions speak for her. I replied "You have my fingerprint card".... She then walked right over to where it was residing picked it up and handed it to me.
It blows my mind that someone who runs a business by word of mouth would treat her potential customers like such dirt.
I was so confident taking her program in the beginning because she made me feel like I was the number 1 priority and she would take care of me anyway possible, and when push came to shove she proved in many ways to be a heartless[redacted] that only cares about the number of the classroom instead of the people in the classroom.
What I think is even more interesting is when I went to pick up my check, she has ONE student in her room, ONE!
On a side note she wreaked of cigarette smoke every single time I was around her, incredibly unprofessional.
I came to [redacted] with a 4-5 month window that I needed this 5 week course done. She disrespected me and made me feel like I had to beg this woman to take my 1100 so I could become a CNA, which now is almost impossible because like I told her I have a year and a half of core science classes then a nursing program following. I wanted this can in my down time to get my foot in the door in the medical field and now I cant do that because this unprofessional woman only cares about herself.
