Ive asked for simple repairs to be made for final payment as it doesnt meet any customers needs, contractor believes no repairs are needed as he failed to follow code procedures which costed them more expenses than what were need if they would've followed code. Ive asked for lumber on decking project to cut properly not cut or drilled anyway they like and they fail to repair, pencel marks left all over treated lumber as well. Property damages done as well and they fail to repair.
Thank you for the letter that you sent our way dated March 10, 2020 in reference to a complaint filed by*** and holds your ID# ***.
We have reviewed the complaint and have the following response:We performed all work required per the invoice provided to Mr.. All work was completed withinthe acceptable tolerance levels as prescribed by the IBC light framing codes. The work was inspectedand approved by the local building inspector of record in November of 2019.Mr. refused to pay the open amount owed to us of $1,264.00 and asked that we come back totake care items, that in his opinion, were not acceptable. After approximately 3 months of trying toarrange a time to come out and inspect his deck we were finally able to complete a site visit. Uponinspection of the work and review of the inspection approval by the governing body, we deemed thework to be complete and the balance owed immediately. It should be noted that after this visit we, ingood faith, made improvements to the deck that were not our responsibility.When Mr. refused to remit payment, we informed him that we would be filling a lien against hisproperty for the amount owed.It was after this notification he filed a complaint with you.If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us via e-mail at

All, this is still not completed to professional craftsmanship, I understand the village has approved but the village does not pay the bill and the customers satisfaction is number one. Ive got muliply cosmetic issues, pencils drawings all over lumber, boards cut incorrectly or drilled 5 times and boards that are completely scrap layed on my deck. I also have property damage that was done. Ive brought in mulipy contractor to discuss the repair work needed to be done and they state the work is unacceptable and no payment should be submitted. I will pay for a professional job but not a job that is in need of repairs.
