At her initial visit, we discussed her desire to improve her appearance and health*** was concerned because another dentist told her she should have multiple teeth crowned (a smile "makeover-) with a very damaging, invasive and costly solution to improve her smile and still end up with a high maintenance and compromised solutionDr E Kucey provided a simplerhealthier, less costly, and more conservative option*** was very appreciative of this suggestion to resolve her chief concern and improving her smile in a less costly and healthier manner and looked forward to doing this when she was able to afford it
With the addition of recent insurance benefits, *** decided to proceed with records for limited orthodontic *** treatment and wisdom tooth removal with oral sedationOn May 12, we completed *** records which include clinical photographic series, PVS impressions for orthodontic diagnostic casts, and treatment planning at a total fee of $On May she came in for her wisdom tooth removal and we discussed again the importance of sedation during this surgical procedureas she indicated on her medical history a high anxiety towards dental treatmentHowever*** declined sedation and the extractions were completed safely using local anesthesiaThis was a challenging surgery and *** was able tolerate the procedure to completion
We saw *** for a subsequent follow up visit on June to check her healing and confirmed she was doing very well and the surgical procedure was successfulNo mention was made of any concern regarding her surgery appointmentBecause we had not received information back regarding her digital orthodontic plan, we contacted *** and they informed us that *** had regrettably lost her impressions" in transit and we needed to take new impressionsBecause *** was still healing from her extractions, we suggested she should return in a few days for new impressions and she agreed
On June 10, *** contacted cur office to cancel her *** treatmentOn June DrE Kucey and *** spoke via telephone*** indicated there were "financial concerns now" and she would not be proceeding with *** treatment"She then stated that she did not have a good experience when her wisdom teeth were extracted, although overall her experience with this office had been very positive prior to the extractions
DrE Kucey encouraged her to continue with treatment but *** indicated she did not want to return to the practice and requested a refund for the *** RecordsAn offer was made to refund $pertaining to the incomplete (lost) impressions and this was accepted***
We maintain our offer to have *** sign a release and receive the $refund which was already prepared and she has not presented to receiveThis includes her agreement to remove and refrain from any written or online comments, including those placed by her family, friendsor spouseWe wish *** well in her future dental care

***When I booked the appointment, the receptionist asked about sedation and I said no thank you*** Wisdom tooth removal isn't a pleasant experience for anyone, but my experience with Dr*** *** attitude and rude behavior was the catalyst for my decision to leave Kucey Dental Clinic***

I think the Kucey's have lost sight of the compassion and care that their patients needI have always been very self-conscious of my teeth, and I went into Kucey dental with very high hopes that I would achieve a great change for myself in regards to my dental health and appearanceI expected professionalism and an amazing outcome, but my experience was quite the oppositeI'd like to say that my new dentist is like night and day when compared to KuceyThey are caring, professional, forthcoming with expenses, and I have yet to be berated or have any of my purchases lost
I feel as though what I am asking in terms of a resolution is more than fairI have spent a lot of money at Kucey Dental and I am only asking for a refund of the product and services that I did not receiveI will not be removing any reviews as they are not mine to remove, yet they are accurate reflections of my experienceI do hope we can resolve this quickly so as we can all move forward from here
