Review: I have informed the Kumon center a month earlier before my family was traveling out of country and I moved out of state 6weeks back. But still, $240/mo is being deducted from my bank account for the past 2 months. I have contacted the center but they were available only over email. Seems like the last day when my wife went to pick up the kid they have given some home work papers to do and they are giving that as a reason and charging my bank account every month. $240/mo is huge amount and I'm really disappointed by their response over email. I have called their corporate customer care and filed a complain too, but they couldnt assure to stop further deduction from my account.Desired Settlement: I need the last two months of refund $240/mo ($480) and should freeze any further automatic deduction from my account henceforth.

Salesperson’s Statement
It was Mrs. [redacted]’s mother, who has come into our center in regards to her and her daughter’s trip to India. And, when Mrs. [redacted] and our staff spoke, it was clear between Mrs. [redacted] and our staff that the 4 months worth of homework will be readily prepared for [redacted] to take because the mother had requested so and there will be a monthly charge for the homework package. Our policy works in that if any homework assignment is taken with the student, the student is still considered Current Enrolled Student and is charged for the month(s)’ materials taken. [redacted] and her mother came into our center and took with them 4 months (November 2013, December 2013, January 2014, February 2014) worth of homework assignment. As a favor for [redacted], we charged $240/monthly in installments to alleviate the burden of paying, initially which should have been transacted, the full amount charge of $960.
Secondly, Mr. [redacted] mentioned that we were unavailable via phone and only responded by email, but over the exchanged emails, we did provide for Mr. [redacted] our business number and our office hours numerous of times. He, however, has not responded back via phone.
Lastly, the miscommunication between Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] should not be burdened on our part. We are simply doing what is necessary and correct for how our center runs. Mr. [redacted]’s complaint is understandable but not legally and morally correct. Mrs. [redacted] and [redacted] has taken our materials with them and it is only sensible, legally, and morally correct to pay for what they have taken.
What we can do as a favor for Mr. [redacted] is, in the event that Mrs. [redacted] & [redacted] mail the homework material (our merchandise) back untouched, we will stop further deductions. But there will be no refunds for the months that have elapsed. And, this policy and agreement form, Mr. [redacted] himself has signed this contract and was given a copy. This favor has been proposed to Mr. [redacted] before and we are still willing to hold this favor for him.
