Kunes Country only ran her credit once.. With her authorization. The banks that were looking at her credit have to run a separate report for their records.I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

[redacted] came in to the dealership and said he didn't have the money to pay for the down payment that he owed us, so instead of him getting his car repossessed we bought the deal back from the bank and absorbed the cost of the bank fees and interest for the time period driven. He agreed to take 500.00...

and leave the car here and we take care of the rest of the money owed to the bank. He was very satisfied at the time.Attached is a copy of the signed agreement.Thank you.[redacted]

Review: They lied on the application for purchasing this vehicle. I am retired and receiving social security only and not working. They put down that I am a manager at a bar and making 42,000 per year. They rushed me through the application process so quickly that I did not realize that they gave a grace period of 24 hours to return this vehicle. When I returned the following afternoon they said "too bad..you are stuck with it". I was trying to purchase a vehicle for my great niece and they would not even take us out to lot to see what else they had. They were suppose to give us 45 days to make a payment and also they were going to give us 3 years warranty with no charge because I had told them I would not accept it otherwise. We did not receive either. Also the advertisement that they had sent out in the mail we did not receive the gifts we were shown to have received. The salesman was very rude and very pushy!Desired Settlement: For then to take back the vehicle and refund me my full $4,500.00 down payment.

We only fill out applications with information provided by the customer assuming the information is correct based on what the customer has told us. Attached is 2 forms signed by [redacted] stating that she was not promised or owed anything. I am sorry she feels the transaction was bad but we do everything in our power to assist the customer in receiving the vehicle of their choice. We have no program that allows for a return of a vehicle and a refund. I would be happy to take [redacted]'s car back in on trade if we a different car she would prefer.Thank you,[redacted]General ManagerKunes Country Chevrolet & Cadillac

Review: I purchased a 2011 Chev Cruze through Kunes Country Chevrolet Cadillac; ( address 1231 E. Geneva Street, Delavan, WI 53115; on July 28, 2015 and a week later had trouble with the vehicle. The saleman that sold me the car was [redacted] and I called [redacted] to find out if the key that was given me for the vehicle was under warranty because its not working. I was informed that the key wasnt covered under my warranty; so I had the car towed to Andrew Chev for $225.00 and they ordered a key for the car . Andrew Chev in Milwaukee, WI charged me $88.00 for the key and got an oil change and filter for $94.89. Approximately three weeks later the car stop running again; I wasnt sure what the problem was so I called Kunes and inform them that the car keep going out; I was told by them that it could be the battery ( they never offered to have one of their mechanics from Kunes take a look at the car). So, I purchase a battery from Autozone for $169.00 and purchase vent visors $69.00. The car ran maybe a whole month without me having problems. On 10/24/15 the car stopped again but this time wouldnt say anything and it wouldnt start with the key and it wouldnt take a boost; once again I'm without a car that I pay $339.00 a month for car payments to Honor Finance. I was iriate at this point and called Kunes and spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] stated that they would have to take a look at the car. The car at this moment is towed to [redacted] auto shop; courtesy of Honor Finance. They sympathize with what I was going through and stated they would call me once the car was fixed. Honor Finance called on Monday, 11/2/15 and stated that they are not sure what is wrong with the vehicle and advised me to contact Kunes so they could come and pick the car up and take it back to Kunes. Kunes did pick up the car from [redacted] auto shop and called me 11/3/15 and inform me that fuel pump is out on the car. I informed Kunes that I need another car or they must fix that one. Also, informed Kunes that I had to go to Arkansas on Thursday, 11/5/15 for a funeral and I need a loaner car from them for me being inconvenience. Kunes stated that they do not have any loaner cars for me to go out of town with only for the state of Wisconsin; so I had to purchase a airline ticket for $669.00. Once I returned back to Milwaukee on 11/9/15, I called and spoke with [redacted] from Kunes and he stated that he's terribly sorry that I been having trouble with the vehicle since I purchased the car and he asked if I could come to Kunes on Thursday, 11/12/15 and he would put me in another car. So, I get someone to take me to Kunes on Thursday, 11/12/15 and they stated that they cant find a financial institue to finance me. I asked for all of my money back and the money that I put into the 2011 Chev Cruze. [redacted] stated that he would do all he could to get me a car by Saturday, 11/14/15. At this point, I do not know where to turn. I do not want to deal with Kunes ; all Im asking for is to have them return all my money including what I've paid to Honor Finance. How can shady dealership treat consumers this way and get a way with it. I work to hard for my money to not have a vehicle at this time. I'm catching the bus to work or paying for cabs to and from work. Please help me.Desired Settlement: What I think would be a fair resolution to my issue is to have Kunes return my money in a form of a money order or check in the amount of $2314.89; or give me another car.; instead what they gave me was $500.00; unsatisfied!!!!!!

I went in back in September 2013 to purchase a new car. I found a car at Kunes. We tried to work a deal. We couldn't come to an agreement on a price or financing. They were trying to get me to agree to their financing at 16% interest. I said I would find my own financing. I found financing through my credit union. I went back the next day with my approved financing at the price we had agreed on. When I came back with my financing at a 3% interest through my bank, and said let's make the deal, they told me that the car I wanted was on a test ride. I told the salesman I would wait for them to come back and that I wanted to see the car. After sitting and waiting for a half hour, the salesman comes back and says that the people are keeping the car over night and they want to pay more then me. I said ok, and was told I would be called tomorrow and they would let me know if the other people were going to take it or not. That didn't feel right, so when we got into our car I told my husband to drive around the back of the dealer ship. When we drove behind the building and sure enough, there was the car. I was furious I had just been lied to. We went and found the owner and explained it to him. He left and went to try to figure things out. After 45 min he came back with my car. He said he could not come down to the price that the salesman and I had agreed on. He told me that he had come down to low and I needed to come up $900. At this point, I had sold my other car, I needed a car, and I had been dealing with theses ppl for almost a week. I just wanted it to be over and I wanted my car so I agreed. When I look back on it, I was lied to repeatedly and I was ripped off. This company does not do fair business. They are liars and crooks and will do whatever it takes to get every done they can from you. They are not fair. They are cheaters. They have no interest in helping people find an affordable vehicle. I was lied to and ripped off. I feel people need to know about how these people do business. It's wrong. It is no wondering why none of the Kunes Dealerships are accredited by the Revdex.com. I'm sure these types of complaints would be frequent. Buyer beware from these people. I will never do business with these people again and I will be sure to let everyone I know how I was treated.

Review: Hello

My name is [redacted]. I purchased a new truck from Kune’s Chevrolet in Delevan, Wisconsin in early September. I purchased this insurance called the Custom Edge. After realizing how much we paid for that insurance we decided to cancel well within the first 15 days.

We called Kune’s on Sept5th and was told to speak to our sales person.

We Emailed [redacted] on Sept 26th after all phone calls were ignored.

We called both our salesmen. [redacted] and [redacted] We spoke to the sales manager and another person named Johnny.

After many more phone calls and emails [redacted] finally called me on Columbus Day October 12th 2015 and said the check was sent. But we needed to send proof that we refinanced with Parker Community Credit Union. We sent him all their information on the loan and he said he called them himself and spoke to a woman named [redacted].

He then said we needed Landmark who first gave us the loan to send a confirmation that the loan was actually paid.

Landmark said they do not do it that way but that [redacted] or Kune’s Chevrolet would have to request the information.

[redacted] and I have been emailing back and forth for quite a while now.

First he said a woman who files those papers quit and they had a mess trying to figure it all out.

I emailed him on October 19th and said

Hi [redacted]

We still have not received the check for the cancelation of the insurance. You said you were sending it out right away but asked for us to have Landmark send proof to the refinance by pccu. We will call them again and ask the to fax it tomorrow

Jon and [redacted]

He replied on October 20th

I am checking into this right away!

We replied back. On the 20th

Hi [redacted]

Just got off the phone with Landmark. They said they do not do that. You will have to contact them for the information and that is how they do it.

So I sent you the copy of the check PCCU wrote to them.

Now if you need more proof you are supposed to contact them.

This is getting a little frustrating to say the least.

They will not help.

Jon and [redacted]

He replied today October 21st

Will talk to my office manager and see if she will bypass normal procedure and get a check to you, Thank You for your patience and know that I am working on this! Thank You Again [redacted]

This has gone on long enough. They are stalling and we canceled in plenty of time.

He said he sent the check on Columbus Day in a phone conversation. Then will asked if he can bypass procedure on October 21st.

This is no longer acceptable in our opinion and we followed the law in canceling this policy as it states in the book.

So I would like to file this complaint.

Sincerely

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Send us our check that was promised on Columbus Day. $2381.00

I am now receiving calls from salesmen to tell me about offers on cars. Each call I receive I ask them to stop calling but it does no good.Desired Settlement: I am on the do not call list and do not wish to receive these types of calls. Review: on July 29, 2013, [redacted] of Kunes Country Chevrolet Delavan WI requested and was given a $100.00 check form my elderly parents to hold a car while they decided if they indeed wanted to purchase . Per [redacted] the check would be refunded if the car was not purchased. Further [redacted] stated that the check would not even be cashed - it would be returned in the event the car was not purchased. On aug 1, [redacted] was informed that the car would NOT be purchased. The check was cashed. To date - [redacted] has repeated stated the "check is in the mail" On Aug 6 again on Aug 12 a refund was requested . On Aug 15 a refund was requested again the check was in the mail. No refund has been received for the $100.00Desired Settlement: refunded check for $100.00

Response:

In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted], I have spoken at length with my sales consultant in regards to this matter. Unfortunately there was some lack of communication between Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] and the consultant. My consultant was under the impression that he relayed to the cusomers if they chose not to purchase the vehicle they had put a deposit on we would happily refund this money to them at this time. As an organization we also receipt monies in promptly due to privacy issues etc. When we were notified by the customers that they did not want the vehicle we did request from our accounting department that the monies be refunded in a timely manner. [redacted] is the couples daughter and my sales consultant was relaying the message to all the parties involved which may have caused the lack of communication. As of today I have left [redacted] and her parents messages and an email to respond as to if they did receive this money in the mail. As an organization we did not have an issue refunding the money back to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted].

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

the reason for the rejection is the business did not refund the check and now insists on a credit card number be provided . I will not provide a disreputable business now with a credit card. the only response I will accept is to refund the $100 in the form of a check.

Please see below- providing a credit card number to a disreputable business is not acceptable.

Review: I received a hand written card from [redacted] at Kunes Country Chevrolet Cadillac concerning a vehicle I owned and their interest in purchasing it. They indicated no purchase was needed on my part and an aggressive offer would be made. I called to ask where they got my name and what information they had on my vehicle because I didn't want to drive 20 miles unless they were actually serious. They insisted I bring the vehicle in so they could appraise it so I set up an appointment. When I got there they asked me if I was interested in a trade in on a new vehicle. I said no. I was there for the purpose of selling per their invite and my follow up call. I was told by [redacted] they were not interested in buying at which point I asked to be reimbursed for gas. Mr. [redacted] was unwilling to do so and I told him I felt the card he sent was a blatant misrepresentation so he said fine and gave me a verbal offer of $50 for my vehicle. He then thought better of his action and gave me a written low ball appraisal which he knew I would not accept. It is actions like this that give the automotive industry a black eye. Fortunately there are others operating at a high level but unless practices like this are called out true professionals trying to earn an honest living will suffer. This was an unsavory act and I am looking for help from the Revdex.com to address it. Thank you.Desired Settlement: Refund for time and gas.

Business

Response:

[redacted] – thank you for the information, sorry it was so hard to get ahold of me. I do remember this customer as I was the one that appraised his vehicle. Mr. [redacted] told me right away that he only wanted to sell me his trade which is ok with me since I have purchased a number of desirable vehicles from this mailer. Upon inspecting his vehicle it was apparent there was a service issue because there was a light on the dash that said SERVICE RIDE or something like that. I came in and asked Mr [redacted] if he knew what was causing that and he was very uncooperative and told me to take it to service to diagnose. I stated that I am trying to offer as much as I can for his vehicle and if he knows what the issue was I would be happy to price it based on what he told me and he still was very difficult. It then turned into an argument on the floor with him and I told him he did not have to sell me his truck and I didn’t have to buy it if he didn’t want to communicate with me on what was wrong with it. I then turned and walked to my office to remove him from my floor as he was following me. He came to my office and proceeded to tell me he was a lawyer and what we were doing is illegal and he would take me to court. At this point I haven’t even appraised his truck yet. He kept insisting I give him a value so I put it into my appraisal system and the Autocheck came up with a previous accident so I gave Mr [redacted] a fair appraisal based on his trucks condition and history. Obviously he felt his truck was worth more than my offer which is why he did not sell it to me but upon leaving my office he made a point of going up to customers and telling them not to purchase anything from us because we were dishonest. Fortunately the customers had witness the whole event and didn’t let Mr [redacted] influence their decision. Mr [redacted]s request for a refund for his time and gas does not make any sense to me so I really don’t have a response to his request. Mr [redacted] is not the only customer that did not sell his vehicle to us but certainly is the only one to want payment for time and gas for a vehicle he was looking to get an offer for. If you need any additional information from me please let me know. Have a great week!

Thank you,

General Manager

Response:

[redacted] – I understand the customer has his views on how he sees this matter. I still do not see the merit in his complaints. The process he points out is the process that every customer that responded to this sale went through. My name is on all of our mailers and I do not generally work with the customers. I am the General Manager and I arrange all of our advertising which means I am the name listed on the correspondence. In an effort to save time since the story seems to be my word against his (since his truck no longer has a mechanical issue) I would be happy to issue the customer a $50 gas card to a station local to him if that will resolve the issue. If that is not acceptable then I have no other resolution I wish to offer and this matter is behind us.

Thank you for your time.

Review: I have contacted this company on numerous occasions and have asked to be taken off of their mailing list. Every time they tell me that I will not receive any more letters in the mail from them (via USPS) and that I have been removed from their mailing lists. Yet, just today I got another letter in the mail from them trying to solicit me to buy a car. I have a brand new car with a very low interest rate, I have no need for their services and I want these letters to stop coming to me in the mail immediately!!Desired Settlement: I would like to never receive a letter in the mail from these people again...EVER!

Response:

I received your note / complaint of 8/9/2013 (ID # 9661002), from [redacted] of Verona, Wisconsin. After checking the corporate database for the Kunes Country Auto Group, the name “[redacted]” is not shown as a past or present customer of our dealership. So if we did any sales or service related direct mail offer (specifically for our past or present customers), Mr. [redacted] would not be included in such a mailer. Another possible thought may be that Mr. [redacted] is getting OEM (GM, Ford or Chrysler) mail that they send to previous registered buyers / owners that stamp our name on them as the nearest dealer. This type of mailer we have no control over, nor even know when it is sent most of the time. That kind of mail is 100% out of our control. The last possible thing could be our Special Finance mail that is sent to those in a geographical area that have had a past Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcies. In this case, the lists come from R.L. Polk & Company in Southfield, Michigan. Although I’ve also requested the individual that handles this mail to check for Mr. [redacted]’s name (and to remove it), all of this mail meets and exceeds direct mail solicitation guidelines authorized by the Direct Mail Marketing Association. I can sympathize with Mr. [redacted] not wanting any unsolicited mail, but this type of mail sometimes arrives in homes without our knowledge or consent….even though Mr. [redacted] states that he has contacted our dealerships on many occasions to have his name removed from our mailing list, which he is not on. My advice to Mr. [redacted] would probably be what 99.9% of us that receive unsolicited US Mail (junk mail) do. Simply discard it.

Sincerely Yours,

Advertising Manager

Review: I purchased my car, a 2012 Malibu LTZ, through the dealership Kunes in Delavan WI, in February of 2013. Upon purchasing the vehicle the salesperson, [redacted], suggested that I should also purchase a product called Xzilon, a product that product the car for wear and tears, which he explain, to have better protect,, my costly investment, my new car. When given a demonstration of the product the dealership provided a car to demonstrate of what the product protected against as well as the salesperson gave me numerous examples on what the product as well. [redacted] explain verbally that if a shopping cart was rammed into my vehicle that Xzilon should protect it from minor dents, if I was to ever move any furniture in my vehicle and the interior happened to ripped, no matter what the cause or how badly damage the product was torn, Xzilon would repair the product, no questioned asked. [redacted] showed me a car demonstration of a car, on their showroom floor, sprays painted with spray paint, and explained to me if my car was to ever have this happen the spray paint should not only come right off but if it did not Xzilon would cover this as well. Well an issued occurred and I had the pleasure of speaking to a customer service rep. from Xzilon and she explain to me that Xzilon does not, under no circumstances, handle any claims that may have been a result of vandalism or criminal act, in which if for any reasoning my car did in fact have spray paint applied to it, Zxilon would not cover it;in the demonstration given at the dealership a demonstration car had spray paint applied to it and [redacted] told me verbally that if for any reason my car was spray painted and I was unable to remove it I would be able to file a claim through Xzilon and they would resolve the issue. I also was told that no matter what the situation would be that any rips or tears in my leather seating Xzilon would cover them as well, and after speaking to a Xzilon rep she explain to me that it had to be under 3 inches, and this is far from what was told to me when purchasing this product to be applied to my car. After speaking to Tina, an upper manager, she later told me that “maybe” [redacted] over exaggerated this product and that their company had “people” to fix the problem if any occurred. My issue not only is why was I lied to or why was the product sold to me as covering issues that it did not but if the car dealership was able to cover all the issues that they told me Xzilon would cover, but do not, why is this product even being sold. An Xzilon representative suggested me to complain because I was sold this product under false promises.Desired Settlement: I would love to have this amount taken off my loan agreement because it was sold using false information by the dealership.
