Hello - Our company rents camping and other gear, locally, and to customers around the country. In such latter cases, we ship gear to the customer and provide a return label for return at the end of the rental period. We have been doing this for about years, and serve several
thousand customers a year.In this case, we sent gear to customer *** *** for arrival on or about September 25th. We were notified of a potential problem with certain gear pieces on October 5th via email. As described in his complaint, he noted issues with two items - a water filter and a camping lantern. Upon checking into the items after return, we determined that the lantern issue was just old batteries, for which we indicate in our product description could be the case as we have no way of testing remaining battery life and renters should always buy and carry replacements, but we did refund the rental price of the water filter, on October 17th. We advised customer of that on or about that date and we were left with the impression he was OK with the explanation and the refund. His complaint was entered at some point after that I assume, as the October date is referenced in his text. Perhaps he didn't understand that a refund was already made. If he checks with his credit card company, he should see a refund transaction of $dated on October 17th. Let me know if any additional information is needed. Thanks,*** ***
