They do not return phone callsI have been seeking tax information and I can't get anyone to call me backShame I have to go visit them in person since they don't have the courtesy to respond to your voicemail

On May 31st 2016, a staff member at the Martial Artz Academy called the police (after I am told my year old special needs son was put outside the door of the facility) to address a tantrumThe next day, I was informed via email that my son was suspended from the Before and After Care program for days and that I would be informed if he would be able to return at all for the remainder of the school year. When I received that email, I replied that there was no need for further investigation or notice for the remainder of the school year because I felt that lack of experience and behavior management skill on the part of the junior staff members who were solely supervising the children that day precluded me from utilizing their services any longer. In that message, I also asked that my contract be cancelled since the company was refusing service. The owner, Will D***, who was copied on the message only because I replied to all, then sent a message personally attacking me and my paren

We are in receipt of the complaint ID#[redacted]'s son ([redacted]) was suspended from the before and after program for 5 days for misconduct and consistent disruptive behavior. On the day in question, he had a tantrum where he was literally throwing chairs which nearly hit another child and...

one chair nearly went through the front door glass. Needless to say, [redacted] could have caused a major injury to other children and Staff. The police came to the school along with the owner to help support the situation. No charges were filed and the issue remained under control until [redacted] arrived. At that time, she stated that there were issues at home between she and her spouse that she believed was causing [redacted] to "act out".[redacted] signed a contract with Member Billing Systems (our billing company) for before and after care and for traditional Kung Fu services. The amount left on her before and after care contract is $195. The amount left on her traditional contract is $390.Since she withdrew her child from the program, her contracts are still being enforced and will not be canceled by [redacted]. They own the rights to her contract and she should contact that them directly for further assistance related to her contract. With Best Regards, William D[redacted]President and CEOBuilding a stronger community ... one empowered student at a time!www.kfacademy.com

I am rejecting this response because:This is completely untrue and utterly insulting but what more can I expect in light of the previous exchanges.  I have never been married so I certainly didn't convey anything about a "spouse" with Mr. D[redacted]. He is a stranger to me and knows nothing of me or my son except for what he assumes or was told by a third party. I barely interacted with him until the day of the incident and that was for a few minutes as he unethically suggested that my son take medication.  He also gave me a number for a football coach contact  at that time so I could not have been too hostile or my son too dangerous as this false picture seems to have been painted in the additional lies in the attached letter. In all, a contract must be beneficial to both parties and this company is attempting to force me to pay for services that I had no way of receiving.  This goes against common as well as statutory law.  On top of that, Mr. D[redacted] and his representatives from [redacted] continue to insult and attempt to degrade me as is evidenced in his response here and in the attached letter from his "consultant".   This is further proof of the validity of my warning to others that this company conducts business in a one-sided, money-driven, unfair, rude and unprofessional manner. I refuse to pay for services that I was barred from receiving, first by suspension and next by being completely insulted and degraded by the owner and then his representatives.
Regards,

Over charged by over $600. My son cancelled his classes and they continued to charge us. Repeatedly contact them and they told us there was nothing they could do and they passes the buck while continuing to charge us. I had to cancel my card and submit paper work to my bank to cancel them.

Review: Kung Fu Academy falsely advertised that their summer camp early bird rates ended on March 31, 2014. They have since advertised their 'early bird rates' ended April 31, 2014 and May 31, 2014. I was told I had to lock in the early bird rates for my 3 children even though I clearly told the employee that I had to abide by a summer visitation court order and was not yet sure of the dates. I was told the company would work with me on that because a court order was involved. When I found out the summer visitation dates and told an employee the summer camp dates would not work, I was told to come in and get a refund - no problem. I was given an email address to submit my refund request to. The response was - no refunds after 3 days even though an employee told me I could get a refund because I had to abide by a court order. Since I put several hundred dollars down, I wrote a letter modifying the agreement I signed so that one of my children could participate in the summer camp for part of the time since they couldn't go the entire required four weeks. I was emailed back saying that I couldn't modify the agreement and that they would cancel one child but I would still have to pay for two children even though only one would attend for part of the time. The agreement only states that it cannot be cancelled after 3 days. It does not state that it cannot be modified nor does it make any stipulations regarding the number of children on the agreement. They can cancel one child if they want to? After the tone of the email exchange and the bullying position the organization has taken on very ambiguous contract language and falsely advertising "early bird rates" that really weren't early bird rates but a ploy to make you sign up, I felt uncomfortable with sending any of my children to them for fear of what they may 'allow' to happen to them in retaliation to me. An employee told me I could get a refund. Their agreement does not say the agreement cannot be modified or updated. I want the refund I was promised.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the $480 (four hundred and eighty dollars) I paid.
