AWFULHad an absolutely horrible experience with this businessThey take only cash for one thing and have almost no set pricesThey charge you on the spot based on what they feel like they want to chargeDoesn't that seem a little sketchy? When I tried to get my car from the lot, the worker was extremely rude and tried to tell me he couldn't help me because of a load of obviously phony reasonsI've read other customer reviews online, and it seems like theivery and bad business practices are the norm

Why? They had no capabilities to do so at this time of the dayIt would take an entire crew to move all the cars out of they way, and they could absolutely not get the car outAll the while chatting with another guy about it in the backgroundSo there were at least two of them there
I clarified that they were open, but refused to release my car to me, and that even though it was their fault I couldn't pick it up from the hour lot at pm, if I didn't make it there by am, I would be charged for storageYes, that's exactly what he said
When I said that didn't seem right, I should be able to get my car if I have the money, he says, "What do you think you're gonna do, go drive your car into a bunch of other cars in the lot??!? You can't DO THAT!"
He started yelling at me as if I had actually said this myself! I asked his name (***, he said) and hung up with himI called the cops and told the operator what happenedHe informed me that this is not legal, they cannot refuse to release your vehicle if they are open
I called the number for the office given to me by police operator (All Island office: XXX-XXX-XXXX), as the name on the building (Kuni's) didn't match the name given to me by the police originally (All Island), so when I called back and they asked the name of the place, I was unsure of the real namePretty sketchy, but apparently All Island owns Kuni's
Anyway, I called the office and talked to a woman named *** and told her I had already contacted the police and knew the tow yard could not refuse to release my car, but that the guys at the lot were refusingShe said she would call themWithin minutes, she called me back to tell me I could go pick up my car nowSo it was obvious that the guy had lied and just didn't want to do his job
I got there and the guy at the window (same as the phone) cussed at me, told me that I wasn't "very *** classy" then proceeded to ask me personal questions, including my address & phone number, which creeped me out that if I didn't give him this personal info he wouldn't give me my carI realize every tow yard asks this, but he also asked me where I had to go to get the money, and who I got it fromAnd not in a friendly way, but in a very aggressive and intimidating wayI started recording the interaction because I was so freaked out I was shakingI didn't know what he would do or say next
I was quite leery and kept telling him it was none of his business, I just want to pick up my carHe continued to say things that weren't true just to scare me, like telling me my title wasn't good enough paperwork for him to release my car, and that he could just keep my car if he wanted toI finally asked my boyfriend, who drove me there and was waiting near his car, to come stand next to meThe guy made no more insinuating or intimidating remarks
Finally, he told me I could go to the back of the lot and check in with the security to get my carI walked around the corner, through a dark lot, no lights at all, full of potholes and muddy, oily puddles, in the rain, all the way to the back of this isolated lotI called out, "Hello!" many times
There was no securityThere was nothing but the dreary lot and that menacing, lying, reprehensible creature up front
I found my car, still in the row, but thank goodness I weigh only lbs, I could fit into the row and get in the carAnyone bigger than me would not have been able toI got out of there as fast as I could and had to pull over in the nearby Long's parking lot because I was still shaking so badlyThis was such a horrific experience; I never want to go back."
