Our office makes every effort to resolve any complaints in a timely and mutually agreed upon manner directly with the patientIn her complaint, Melanie stated that “neither of these services were requested, authorized or approved by me.” As the treating dentist, at the time of service, Melanie did
not refuse the exam and in fact allowed myself to examine her mouth, she was an excellent patientThere was, however, no discussion as to why I was there doing the examOnly after the invoice was received in November did she refute the chargesAfter our insurance coordinator, Katherine, spoke with Melanie at the end of November, she brought this issue to my attentionI personally called and left a message for Melanie on December 2nd asking her to call me back so we can resolve her issueMelanie did not respond to our call or return correspondenceOur office reached out to Melanie again on December 9th, once again, she did not answer or return our callAfter receiving her December statement, Melanie emailed us saying she wanted the charges dropped without giving us any further informationOur office emailed her on December 28th to find out what would be a good date and time to discuss this matterThere was no response to this emailAfter receiving her January statement, Melanie filed her Revdex.com complaintAfter receiving the Revdex.com complaint, I called Melanie again on February 1stto follow up on this issueMelanie answered at that time and we were able to cordially resolve her issueDuring this call, I asked Melanie why she didn’t return our calls or emails, she said she didn’t think there was anything to discussThis complaint is settled and both parties are satisfied
