Kurtz Appliance Repair Reviews (3)

To the Revdex.com of Boston:Thank you for forwarding the recent complaint submitted by [redacted] .At this point, I do not have any direct knowledge what went wrong with the appliance I repaired for him Some months after I repaired his refrigerator, he called and told me there was a problem with it I told him I would call him later, after I checked my schedule and let him know when I could check it out I later called back and I left a message telling I would be in town the next day and could stop by then He never returned my call I did stop by the next day, and while there was a car present and lights on, no one answered the door. Some days later Mr [redacted] 's agent, a local repair man, called and threatened the life of me and my family "should we ever step foot in Brunswick again." After that, I received Mr [redacted] 's demand that I return his money Given the violent nature of the person Mr [redacted] had employed to contact me and speak for him, I am uneasy having any further contact with him, and hence did not respond to his demand letter Also, his refusal to allow me in to examine the refrigerator and provide service at no cost to him, as my warranty clearly states, does not incline me to simply give him back $at his demand I offer an exceptionally generous warranty - 100% parts and labor guarantee for an entire year But I must be allowed to PROVIDE that warranty service before I can determine how to proceed.I installed a brand new control board in his refrigerator While his deranged spokesman claims otherwise, that is simply untrue.I would like Mr [redacted] and his lunatic agent to stop threatening me Therefore, if he returns the control board that I installed in his refrigerator and removes any and all bad reviews and disparaging remarks he has publicly posted I will return his money in full However he should know I have the serial number of the board I installed and what he returns to me must match In my experience people feel that once you have worked on an appliance or machine, you have warranted it will work forever, no matter what breaksAlso, an emergency on their part is indeed an emergency on my part, because clearly whatever has happened is the repairman's fault I understand this inclination so when a customer needs me to check out an appliance I have previously worked on, I get there as quickly as I can, usually rescheduling other appointments to do so As I did in Mr [redacted] 's case.I hope this helps clear things up and thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below.
Please see former complaint #[redacted]. I read your most recent email that told me that I hadn't responded and that the case was closed. I did not receive an email telling me to respond to the demands of [redacted], the business about whom I was complaining. If you check your records, [redacted] said he would reimburse me if I did what he asked (in his reply to your contact with him). I did what he asked, but have heard nothing and have received no money. Please reopen this case and contact Mr. [redacted] again. He obviously lied to The Revdex.com when he made his demands on me through his response to you.I would like a complete refund of the money that I paid to him for his non-effective repair to my refrigerator and for the hassle he had put me through since October 2015: $315.99 I paid a second repair man, [redacted], ($247.25) to repair Mr [redacted]'s job. Mr [redacted] told me that he would testify against Mr [redacted]. You can call him at [redacted].Regards,
[redacted]

was a problem with it.  I told him I would call him later, after I checked my schedule and let him know when I could check it out.  I later called back and I left a message telling I would be in town the next day and could stop by then.  He never returned my call.  I did stop by the next day, and while there was a car present and lights on, no one answered the door. Some days later Mr. [redacted]'s agent, a local repair man, called and threatened the life of me and my family "should we ever step foot in Brunswick again."  After that, I received Mr. [redacted]'s demand that I return his money.  Given the violent nature of the person Mr. [redacted] had employed to contact me and speak for him, I am uneasy having any further contact with him, and hence did not respond to his demand letter.   Also, his refusal to allow me in to examine the refrigerator and provide service at no cost to him, as my warranty clearly states, does not incline me to simply give him back $315.99 at his demand.  I offer an exceptionally generous warranty - 100% parts and labor guarantee for an entire year.  But I must be allowed to PROVIDE that warranty service before I can determine how to proceed.I installed a brand new control board in his refrigerator.  While his deranged spokesman claims otherwise, that is simply untrue.I would like Mr. [redacted] and his lunatic agent to stop threatening me.  Therefore, if he returns the control board that I installed in his refrigerator and removes any and all bad reviews and disparaging remarks he has publicly posted I will return his money in full.  However he should know I have the serial number of the board I installed and what he returns to me must match.  In my experience people feel that once you have worked on an appliance or machine, you have warranted it will work forever, no matter what breaks. Also, an emergency on their part is indeed an emergency on my part, because clearly whatever has happened is the repairman's fault.  I understand this inclination so when a customer needs me to check out an appliance I have previously worked on, I get there as quickly as I can, usually rescheduling other appointments to do so.   As I did in Mr. [redacted]'s case.I hope this helps clear things up and thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Sincerely,[redacted]
