Review: We called Kurtz construction to have our roof evaluated as potential buyers. The office staff was quite rude and condescending on the phone, but our friend had recommended them so we asked for the evaluation anyway. The roofer said he would call us back before showing up b/c we wanted to be there, but he never did. We called him to confirm a time a few days later when we didn't hear back as promised. When [redacted] arrived, he was quite rude and seemed annoyed that the office staff told us we could have a free estimate as potential buyers. His eval seemed thorough, but when we received the evaluation in the mail there were quite a few discrepancies between what he said in person and what the eval said. In person, he made it sound as though the roof needed to be redone before the fall, and his eval stated that it only needed repair. He also left off a chimney evaluation. When I called on Friday 6/21, he was not in the office and when I called back on Monday 6/24 my concerns had not been communicated and I had to explain all over again what the problem was. [redacted] didn't in fact return my call until Tuesday 6/25. When he did, I explained the differences and he became extremely irate. I told him I had not been impressed with the quality of work thus far with the company, and he yelled at me "So what? We're rude, you don't like us, let's just be done here". We needed that eval to make an offer on our house today (6/25) and we had been counting on a written eval that corresponded with the verbal. His inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour has done great damage to our ability to proceed with this house.Desired Settlement: I would like a written apology from [redacted] Kurz, noting the problems he created for us as well as how unacceptable his and his staff's customer service was.
