I am rejecting this response because:
Dear Kurtze Kompany, Thank you for responding to the letter /complaint I filed with the Revdex.com dated Jan 26 2018. You are mistaken when you state I am requesting all new decks. Contained in the first letter to you from the Revdex.com My request is clear. A small amount of replacement materials. I at my own expense will reconstruct decks which will cost me a fair amount of money and time. Then upon receipt of replacement materials I will sign a document releasing you from any further obligations for ever on these decks. Im happy, then we are done! **Please note that when you look at my list of replacement materials [redacted] has offered to replace all pressure treated lumber on my replacement request list at no cost. We may now take that off the list. The only issue up for discussion is the replacement of my un-warranted Trex material. Attached to this response: 1. Technical letter from Trex. 2. Factory List of approved fasteners for my product Trex Select. 3. Picture of your toe nailed camo screw fasteners after expansion/heat and contraction/cold Temperatures. It just tears the composite material. Leaving me with a damaged product with noWarranty. You state and admit you are aware your toe nail camo screws void the warranty. I had no idea that your personal choice of fasteners would void my 25yr factory warranty until I spoke with Trex. Why would I spend $4300.00 on a product that offers a 25yr warranty and agree to just let you void the warranty? Your claim we had that discussion is absolutely ridiculous! You state you have done this application for more than a few years? Why would you disrespect your customers and the money your customers spend on a higher end product that comes with a 25yr factory warranty? And there are several approved fastening methods to choose from. This is my exact plan: Revdex.com Montrose Court Mediation Montrose County Attorneys General File a claim in court I will again for the numerous time offer to re- send you all documentation that will be used in my pursuit so you may be informed of all documentation I will present. Materials receipts, Labor receipts, photographs of issues, copies of all text communications from you and your wife starting 11/7 /2017, drawings of decks , checks cleared. Exact replacement request Trex Select Saddle with groves. Same cost as what I have. Then I will use the recommended Trex hidden fasteners. As mentioned I will take my chances on the stairs as they are constructed differently. Original purchase 46 - 1x6x20 Replacement Request 43- 1x6x 20 Original purchase 49 - 1x6x16 Replacement Request 33- 1x6x16 Respectfully, [redacted]I did make the offer to Mr. K[redacted] that after I receive my replacement Trex he may remove (according to my schedule) the un warrentied Trex to re use.

Friday, January 26, 2018 Dear Revdex.com/Ms. [redacted], I am Lincoln K[redacted] owner of Kurtze Kompany I am responsible for building the decks at the [redacted] residence. I am truly sorry that Mrs. [redacted] in not happy with her decks. I received the text messages that she was having some issues. I tried to get an...

idea of what the issues were. I gathered that some of the pressure treated lumber had shrunk or twisted so I told her I would be up to look and try to remedy the problem areas. She did not want me to come up at that time. She wanted to get other opinions. After she got other opinions she decided that she wanted an all new deck. I do care about my customers. I try to give them the best advice I can. I even advised Mrs. [redacted] not to build these decks I suggested them being patios out of concrete instead which would have put me out of a job. That’s just how I operate. After receiving the letter from the Revdex.com. I made it a point to go up and talk to Ms. [redacted] in person. After talking with her. I now understand that what she wants is a warranty from the Trex Company. She has had the Trex representative out to look at her Deck and they have voided her warranty on the deck boards. This is because of the type of installation tool and screws that were used. I have been using this installation tool and screws for over 6 years now. About two years ago a salesman at alpine lumber informed me that using this tool would void the warranty. So I always talk about this before I use this tool. This tool saves time on installation and has no face screws. I did talk to Ms. [redacted] about this before we began. Looking back I know now that she did not fully understand what I was telling her. She was very busy with all the other subcontractors on the job and had a lot on her mind. At this point there is no way to get Ms. [redacted] her warranty short of replacing all trex boards. I don’t see it as my responsibility to replace these boards or do I have the means to replace them. I think the best option right now would be to pursue a warranty with Camo tools. As for the over payment comments I’m not sure where this is coming from it was a simple time a material job. If there were issues with the labor time why do you bring it up now why not before you paid us? As for the Materials you have the receipts I was and still am more than happy to go over every item with you. Lincoln K[redacted] Kurtze Kompany [redacted]
