I checked the work order history for your home and the first reported work order for window operation issues was reported on 5/25/ I confirmed with maintenance and they do have the work order This time of year we do get backed up a little with air conditioner service and we prioritize these work orders However, I've asked maintenance to expedite this particular work order and you should see service no later than the end of the week

The fences are all scheduled to be replaced, but the fences do not secure the home and they are currently in place, they are not down We have almost units being completed over the next few years so it will take some time They are only a privacy fence for the patio area Upon receiving a call from our on call service at 8:58AM on Thursday, April 28, 2016, our service technician went to inspect the door There were no signs of entry other than some metal trim coil appeared to be bent The door was not kicked in or damaged in any way The locking mechanism worked as it should The technician advised the resident to also use the Charlie bar, which was installed, as an additional way to secure the sliding patio door

I am rejecting this response because:we were told by maintenance that our AC unit was not suitable for our unit My roommate was also told by the property manager that they were not ordering new ACs because it would cost too much money and they had to buy them in bulk We have the same AC units as those on the first and 2nd floors The 3rd floors should be provided an AC unit that is efficient for those units I shouldn't be paying $in rent and nearly $for electric when they refuse to replace something that is NOT EFFICIENT for my unit If we're all having this issue, it's obviously a problem I love my apartment, but the AC is horrible The AC was working well recently, until the last day or so That's why I took pictures Please do the right thing and work on getting better ACs for your 3rd floor units Your tenants will be much happier in the long run and your maintenance crew may be happier too All I want is an AC that is efficient to handle these temperatures I always keep my blinds and curtains closed and most of the time I'm sitting at home in the dark I can't afford my bill to get any higher Please take your tenants into consideration That's all I'm asking Regards, [redacted] ***

I spoke with both the manager and service tech who have both been involved with this issue. When it is in the mid 90s and humid on the 3rd floor with our units facing southwest, they take on an extra heat load when it gets this warm and humid. It's not exclusive to this resident, it's
across the entire community with this unit style when the weather is like this. We like to get a degree drop from the outside to the inside temperature and we appear to be getting that. I do recommend keeping blinds and curtains closed as much as possible thru these intense temperatures and humidity. Our technician recently checked with the roommate of the resident and the roommate stated the apartment was cooling fine

Thank you for the police report copy, we will add it to your file. If there is a problem with your patio door locking/securing, please contact the rental office and someone will be out to look at it. Again, we encourage you to use the extra bar as additional security

We have owned the property since the mid 1970s and have always been part of the Columbus Public School system. All of our literature and advertising clearly states this. We also have a Columbus address, not Westerville. You can also call the school system anytime you move to verify if an address is within a certain school district. Unless you have something in writing stating we advertised being in the Westerville Schools District during your community search and we let you out of a lease because of it, the charges will remain

I have a police report from Gahanna PD and the detectives, stating my back door has pry marks and was pryed open with a crowbarI would research that report before rushing to believe what they told youAnd if you inspect the door yourselves you will see the door has marks on the outsideAlso, if it was going to take years for this to be done, then the residents should've been told this, instead of the property manager when we signed our lease telling us that it would be finished shortly, and then the work was never completed

*** *** and *** *** moved in October 11, and moved out on June 3, However, their lease expired on October 31, 2011. Resident actually lived with us almost months, not months as stated in the complaintThey did not complete their lease agreement as signed, they skipped
out on us and owed until the end of their lease agreement or until the unit was re-rented, whichever comes first (re-rental date was 7/8/11). They actually owe an additional days of rent, which they were not charged for, they were only charged thru July 3, Also, we did not charge for the additional turnover costs we incurred as a result of the skip before lease expiration: paint, steam clean and clean We have never told residents we are Westerville Schools. It’s clear in all of our advertising as well we are Columbus City SchoolsOur office staff has been together for nearly years and have never mislead any prospective residentWe actually give the phone numbers of the schools at move in and Mr*** and Ms*** received those numbers as does every new move in. This document is attached. We have had residents attempt to mislead Westerville School officials regarding address in the past and have cooperated with the school system to find the truth and expose fraud associated with these situations. The outstanding collection will remain in force and at this time we will not adjust the amount due as stated should have been charged in paragraph one

The young lady who answered the phone before we moved in stated that she "believed" that it was Westerville City SchoolsShe then went and "checked" with someone, and came back to the phone and said "Yes" it is Westerville City SchoolsWe weren't told otherwise by anyone, in writing or on the websitePerhaps now you do a better jobBut we were mislead

Because it isn't true. The young lady who answered the phone before we moved in told us that she believed it was Westerville City Schools. She put the phone down, went and asked someone, and came back and said "Yes, we are Westerville City Schools". The fact that you've had people try to lie to the Schools has nothing to do with what this young lady told us. Had we known it was Columbus city schools before hand, we wouldn't have moved in. Maybe the information you give now is more concise, and maybe the website is updated now- but it WASN'T clear 6 years ago. We were misinformed, whether intentionally or not.
