To Whom it May Concern, Ms *** did indeed bring her vehicle to our shop on September 4, for a full service oil changeOur routine for a full service oil change is to check
the vehicle from the top to the bottom for anything safety related or anything that needs extra attentionThe technician noticed that the coolant was terrible and had lots of rust and built up deposits inside of it, so he spent a few minutes talking to her about her vehicle's cooling system and how these contaminents will cause huge problems as the build up gets worseDuring their conversation she stated that the vehicle had overheated before and that her guages on the dash did not work anymoreShe also asked if it was in her best interest to replace the fluidDuring the coolant flush, the technician was having troubles getting the system to circulate properly which is a sign of a clogged up thermostatIn an effort to be upfront and honest with the customer, the tech went inside to tell Ms *** what he had come acrossThe technician returned to the vehicle and finished the service, completeing everything that we normally mustShortly after she left we recieved a phone call from Ms *** saying that her vehicle was overheatingWe informed her that we could not do anything that night because it puts one or more employees in a potentially unsafe situation and asked her to bring it back to us first thing that next morning That next morning the Assistant General Manager and the District Manager were ready to look her vehicle overThey found the majority of her problem to be that the fans were not running once the vehicle reached operating temperature, which is a part of the vehicle we did not touch the day beforeThe diagnostics revealed that a bad fuse was the origin of this problem so we replaced it for freeThe cooling system was also re-bled to ensure that all of the air pockets had been removed from the systemAs soon as these actions were taken, the vehicle was returned to Ms *** in better condition than we had originally recieved it inNow as far as everyone looking at her suspiciously, I find that very hard to believe considering she and I had a friendly chat for about minutes and customer service has always been one of our many strengthsAnd the next day she did not ask for a manager, she asked for one manager in particular and it was his scheduled day offi also don't believe that she called the store or more times during business hours or that call would have definitely been recievedIt seems pretty obvious that we took great care into handling Ms ***, the situation, and her *** *** Pete R*** General Manager Kwik Kar 61st,
