Kwik Kar Lube & Tune & Car Wash Reviews (2)

I greeted customer as he got out of his vehicle he said oil change mobil synthetic, all of our oil changes comes with checking all fluids, vacuum, checking tires, and differentials, I do have video (no audio) of my employees checking everything, first his vehicle holds quarts not 5, fuel filter is on frame rail not in gas tank like he claims, the radiator does not have a cap it runs from a pressurized overflow/ fill tank that can be opened slowly even when vehicle is at full operating temperature, at the register I have him on video (no audio) for minute and seconds and he only opened his mouth to speak to the cashier for the first seconds, and the employee that cashed him out said all he said to me was "$ man thats high", and then proceeded to swipe his card twice and both times was invalid due to him having chip in his card so he needed to insert in to credit card machine but not once during that time did he move his lips according to the video, to address the cost of the oil change I have been charging the same amount for my oil changes for about years now and when oil companies go up their 10-12% annually I go up as well to adjust for cost, I know of at least a dozen lube centers within miles of us that charge the same amount as I do or within a dollar or two, at oreillys in azle less than a mile from me, if customer went there and purchased his own oil and filter the total comes to $before tax plus the cost of washer fluid, and all the other fluids that everyday vehicles are low on, not saying he was low on all of the fluids, plus he gets a carwash valued at $8, the electricity cost and water cost plus cost of chemicals for the carwash, so after you factor all that plus the labor my cost is anywhere between $65-$dollars per synthetic oil change done, leaving me a profit of roughly $per vehicle, the labor cost is not that is the starting price for synthetic oil changes and that includes all of those costs in that price up to quartshis vehicle holds quarts the extra quart is $at oreillys mobil is $per quart so how am I being unfair in my pricing? I noticed as well the customer said he contacted a manager about the price, but the only thing he told guy cashing him out that "$man thats high" he never asked for a manager or anything of that naturei feel the price given to him is the same as any other customer that gets a synthetic oil change done with us

I greeted customer as he got out of his vehicle he said oil change mobil 1 synthetic, all of our oil changes comes with checking all fluids, vacuum, checking tires, and differentials, I do have video (no audio) of my employees checking everything, first his vehicle holds 6 quarts not 5, fuel filter...

is on frame rail not in gas tank like he claims, the radiator does not have a cap it runs from a pressurized overflow/ fill tank that can be opened slowly even when vehicle is at full operating temperature, at the register I have him on video (no audio)  for 1 minute and 12 seconds and he only opened his mouth to speak to the cashier for the first 10 seconds, and the employee that cashed him out said all he said to me was "$102  man thats high", and then proceeded to swipe his card twice and both times was invalid due to him having chip in his card so he needed to insert in to credit card machine but not once during that time did he move his lips according to the video, to address the cost of the oil change I have been charging the same amount for my oil changes for about 2 years now and when oil companies go up their 10-12% annually I go up as well to adjust for cost, I know of at least a dozen lube centers within 30 miles of us that charge the same amount as I do or within a dollar or two, at oreillys in azle less than a mile from me, if customer went there and purchased his own oil and filter the total comes to $49.97 before tax plus the cost of washer fluid, and all the other fluids that everyday vehicles are low on, not saying he was low on all of the fluids, plus he gets a carwash valued at $8, the electricity cost and water cost plus cost of chemicals for the carwash, so after you factor all that plus the labor my cost is anywhere between $65-$75 dollars per synthetic oil change done, leaving me a profit of roughly $30 per vehicle, the labor cost is not 82.99 that is the starting price for synthetic oil changes and that includes all of those costs in that price up to 5 quarts. his vehicle holds 6 quarts the extra quart is $8.50 at oreillys mobil 1 is $9.19 per quart so how am I being unfair in my pricing? I noticed as well the customer said he contacted a manager about the price, but the only thing he told guy cashing him out that "$102 man thats high" he never asked for a manager or anything of that nature. I feel the price given to him is the same as any other customer that gets a synthetic oil change done with us.
