August 12, Complaint ID [redacted] 0.0001pt 0.85in;">Our response: The customer came to our shop on July 6, 2015, and we serviced his Kia OptimaWhen he visited, the customer's vehicle had an odometer reading of 68,miles_ Per our standard multi-point service we fully drained the old oil, replaced the oil filter, and added quarts of Valvoline conventional 5W-motor oil, among other servicesAccording to the customer's supplied technician's report dated July 31, 2015, the oil level was good during the technician's checkAlso, according to the technician's report the customer changed his oil in 5,to 7,mile intervalsThis is a far longer interval than we recommend when using conventional oilWe completed the services the customer paid us to do, and can only surmise that the customer's repeated actions of going beyond the recommended maintenance schedule caused the damage to his engine

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me because why would I expect a dishonest person to not protect his side of the story My truck was NOT experiencing an overheat problem I was told the coolant leak had to be fixed before they would pass it Bottom line, I never go back there & I tell everyone I know to avoid them also I especially like the part about "we cannot control what other inspection stations will let slide" Pretty much tells you what kind of person Kirk is Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Certified Automotive Technician reports don't lieNothing said in my report about "faults" with the recommended mileage for oil changesThe place where I change my oil is a certified auto repair centerNow these people from Kwik Kar have the audacity to try to put the blame on my mechanic shop? Unbelievable! Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me because why would I expect a dishonest person to not protect his side of the story.  My truck was NOT experiencing an overheat problem.  I was told the coolant leak had to be fixed before they would pass it.  Bottom line, I never go back there & I tell everyone I know to avoid them also.   I especially like the part about "we cannot control what other inspection stations will let slide".  Pretty much tells you what kind of person Kirk is.
