March 13, 2017 Revdex.com 7007 Jefferson St. NE Ste A Albuquerque, NM 87109 ###-###-#### ###-###-#### Fax Dear Sir/Madam: First I would like to start with the fact that I am sorry to hear that we have an unhappy customer. At Kwiki Tire Service Inc., we pride ourselves in excellent...

customer service. It is our belief that customer service in our community is what has allowed us to be a successful business for 30 years. This customer came to Kwiki Tire Service for an oil change and fuel filter replacement on 1/24/18. Upon completion of the service, our technician started the truck to check the oil level and it started smoking. It was determined that the glow plug module on his truck was burnt out. Our mechanics replaced the relay and module right away, as not to leave the customer without a truck. The customer was appreciative and paid $247.39 for the services rendered. The customer returned the next day with no appointment scheduled and approached one of our mechanics out in the shop. He was complaining of a "clicking" noise. After consulting with our lead mechanic, it was decided by all parties, that they were going to put the old module back on (which the customer had in his possession) but leave the new relay, and see if the clicking quit. After completing that task, the clicking went away. Kwiki Tire Service did not charge the customer for that task. The mechanics instructed the customer to make an appointment in the next few days, so they could investigate further. They said to try driving the truck, and when he came back for the appointment, if doing what they had done today, truly fixed the problem, we would refund his money for the new module. The customer did not make an appointment. Three days later, the customer returned out in the shop, and told our mechanic that" he" had found a loose wire on the relay and everything was running good and left. There was no discussion about refunding his money for the module. He never even entered the office where our assistant manager was working, and where all transactions are processed. On 2/26/18 the customer called the shop and spoke with our assistant manager. He said that the truck was now at another shop, needing a new module. He implied that he had no idea that we had already put a new module on, which then caused the clicking noise he was unhappy with. When the clicking began, he was in the discussion with the mechanics, to put the old module back on but leaving the new relay (and actually handed the old module to the mechanic). In an effort to appease the customer, our assistant manager then offered to give the customer his money back for the module. The customer agreed, and gave us the credit card number so we could run the refund of $96.03. On 3/6/18 the customer called the shop, asking for the owner/manager, who had just returned from vacation. The customer was demanding that he get all of his money back, since he had to take his truck to another shop to get it fixed. The owner/manager said he would talk to all of his employees regarding what had transpired while he was on vacation, and asked the customer to come down to the shop at his convenience and they would get this all figured out. When the customer got to the shop, the owner/manager apologized for the situation and offered to give the customer all of his money back for all services rendered. The customer became agitated and demanded that Kwiki Tire Service return all the money he spent at our shop, and to pay for the work done at the other shop. The owner/manager tried to calm the customer down and explain that the truck had the problem when he originally brought it to our shop for service. The work being done at the other shop was the same work that we began at our shop, with no opportunity to completely finish the work. The customer called the owner/manager a "liar" and threatened him with a lawsuit. The owner/manager again tried to calm the customer, and offered his money back, but would not pay for the other work being done at the other shop. The customer again hollered that the owner/manager was a liar, that he had already spoken with a lawyer and he would see us in court. The owner/manager said he was sorry for the whole situation but if that is what the customer wanted to do, okay. It is our feeling that Kwiki Tire Service did everything possible to please the customer. The customer was a witness to all work that was done to his truck at all times. We feel that we were never given the opportunity to complete the job, and make the customer happy. This is an unfortunate situation, but again we feel that we have done everything possible to appease the situation. We have attached a copy of the original invoice as well as the partial refund for the module. Sincerely, Richard C[redacted] Kwiki Tire Service Inc. 1680 S.
