Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12564260, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is just laughableAs previously proved, Comfort Engineered Systems did not in fact install the geothermal system in 2015, as they said they would, and the contract stipulatedInstead, they lied about installing it month after month for two years, and only installed it this yearSo it should indeed be under labor warrantyFurthermore, every other company we have ever worked with quotes their labor costs BEFORE coming out, if for some reason the visit is not covered under warrantyComfort Engineered Systems, however, pretends they are coming out to fix their system problems, and then only afterwards tries to bill crazily inflated costs for fixing things in their systems that don't workI have one of their few employees, David, saying on video that this is "How Ed makes his money" after fixing the generator they sold me (the fourth time it broke downit's since broken down two more times but I've employed a different, reputable and ethical company to fix it both times)The reason he was on camera was that I was recording how to fix the generator myself if the problem happened againThere's not one single thing Comfort Engineered Systems installed that worked properly (from the vents, AC system to the propane gernator)Three years on, we are still paying others to fix their equipmentAnd it's worth it to us, so long as we don't have to deal with CES anymoreBut we can't be expected to pay for them fixing their own system when we never requested a paid service call, and it was within a year [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, [redacted] ***

We are sorry to hear about the issues that [redacted] is having and would like to respond with the facts as we know them. The Carrier equipment was registered 11/12/2015 after it was placed in operation. We have four A/C Service calls (invoices attached) invoice 38249 12/18/2015 changed the type of thermostat no charge, invoice 38684 3/23/2016 added a storage tank on the water loop no charge, invoice 40158 11/2/2016 serviced the unit no charge, Invoice 41346 5/3/2017 fixed a drain issue and the invoice in question was for $360.79. We would like to continue to service the equipment but would require payment to do so. So by [redacted] response we will gladly credit this invoice off of his account.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12564260, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is just laughable. As previously proved, Comfort Engineered Systems did not in fact install the geothermal system in 2015, as they said they would, and the contract stipulated. Instead, they lied about installing it month after month for two years, and only installed it this year. So it should indeed be under labor warranty. Furthermore, every other company we have ever worked with quotes their labor costs BEFORE coming out, if for some reason the visit is not covered under warranty. Comfort Engineered Systems, however, pretends they are coming out to fix their system problems, and then only afterwards tries to bill crazily inflated costs for fixing things in their systems that don't work. I have one of their few employees, David, saying on video that this is "How Ed makes his money" after fixing the generator they sold me (the fourth time it broke down... it's since broken down two more times but I've employed a different, reputable and ethical company to fix it both times). The reason he was on camera was that I was recording how to fix the generator myself if the problem happened again. There's not one single thing Comfort Engineered Systems installed that worked properly (from the vents, AC system to the propane gernator). Three years on, we are still paying others to fix their equipment. And it's worth it to us, so long as we don't have to deal with CES anymore. But we can't be expected to pay for them fixing their own system when we never requested a paid service call, and it was within a year.

Unfortunately we did not see the website request. To our knowledge we didn't receive a phone call. We will be glad to assist with the communication issue but we need to clarify who our customer was. [redacted] known as [redacted]) purchased the system in 2012. Ms [redacted]  was a very nice...

lady and unfortunately has passed away. The limited warranty like all limited Manufacturers warranties follows the original owner and most without transferability. The labor warranty provided by us per Quote 31807 clearly provides for a one year warranty and we provide and supported that warranty per the terms through 2013. The system was installed in late 2012 almost 3.5 years ago. However in this case we believe this isn't a warranty issue as communication is a set up and operational issue and not a product performance issue unless the Envoy is bad which is a rare problem. The problem can be due to the homeowners router set up or wireless side of the interconnection to the internet. We will still be happy to stop by no charge for a consultation and see what may be causing the issue but if the issue is with their communication through the customers router we won't be able to provide much help. Please call our office number at [redacted] for service or support.  Thank you [redacted]General Manager

We are sorry to read [redacted] complaint. At no time have we ever not accepted nor responded to [redacted] request for service. [redacted] signed quote 36568 on 12/20/2015(attached) that clearly shows one year labor warranty. We made several trips at no charge (invoices attached, 38249 and 38684)...

to Cut Off from New Orleans and took care of other issues with [redacted] Geo Thermal system. Unfortunately there isn't an unlimited time frame for labor coverage and per the Quote the [redacted] signed the labor warranty was no longer in effect at the time of service and we apologize if there is any miscommunication or that this became a surprise to [redacted]. We will be happy to provide further service on the system which still has a parts warranty in effect. Unfortunately we can't extended unlimited labor warranty beyond the terms accepted and signed by [redacted].We trust that the supporting documentation will clear up this issue and clarify that we intend to continue to service our customers but can only do so by the terms that were signed by our customers and unfortunately we are not aware of any company that can incur the costs, extend additional services or extend labor that is outside of those terms. Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc.
