Dear sir;The complainant purchased a Mini Cooper with 62,miles on 01-31-A NYS Limited warranty for days or miles.1/price oil changes every three months, and free NYS inspections as long as she owned this vehicle, were included with purchase.On 04/04/Ms*** came
in for her first oil change 65,miles on the odometerDriving miles and days from the purchase date.On 04/19/vehicle was brought in for a loud right front wheel bearing/hub.The day - mile warranty received at purchased had expired,leaving the complainant responsible for a repair invoice totaling$(#***) For customer good will and satisfaction Ms*** was only charged $100.00.06/21/the oil was changed at 68,miles.On 10/25/the oil was changed at 72,miles.The hub/bearing issue should have been brought back to LA AutomotiveIf the wheel bearing were defective, it would have been replaced, at no charge to the customer, under a one year parts warranty provided by the manufacturer.If an oil seal were broken or faulty the oil would have leaked out in the shop and would have been noticed by the technician changing the oil prior to the vehicle leavingIt is very rare that a vehicle would be able to drive for any distance without any oil in the engine without causing a major problem.The hub bearing situation could have been resolve by bringing the vehicle back to our facility for a no charge to the customer, under a manufacturer warranty.I have spoken to Ms*** on several occasions at her place of employment*** ***, and not once did she mention that she had any of these concerns or problems.I regret Ms *** had these issuesWe have been in business for plus years and try to do as much as we can to satisfy our customers.If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact meThank you and have a great dayDaniel * ***
