This man is a [redacted]. My AC unit took broke on 7/22/12 and I called this company. He came out and replaced a switch and the condenser fan motor ($272 bill) and the motor took a dump again. This time when the motor went out, I called this company again to fix it and he NEVER returned my call. I was forced to buy a new motor from Ferguson in Tappahannock. By the time I had gotten home to replace the motor, a capillary tube had cracked in my AC unit due to the faulty part previously installed by this company. I again called LA Heating and air and he did NOT answer. As I am EPA certified and used to work for [redacted] I cleaned up the broken tube and re-soldered the tube in place. Only thing I was lacking now was R-22. By this time The [redacted] FINALLY called be back and told me that since I had made the repairs myself he was going to charge me over $60 per pound for the Freon, and that if I had "let HIM" make the repairs it would have only been $30 per pound. I informed him that it was HIS part that failed and it should be covered under warranty in the FIRST place and that due to his LACK of attention and lack of customer service I was forced to make mechanical repairs on my OWN. This man outright stated to me that he would charge me DOUBLE and refuses to warranty his defective parts.
