Review: eOn October 2012 I took My 2004 [redacted] to LA Imports in Auburn Maine to get timing belt work done and agreed on $1100 to get the work done. I spoke with owner [redacted]. About two weeks later when I went to pick up the car his price changed to over $1400. Anyways I ended up paying [redacted] $1400 for the work. But when I picked up the car I noticed that their were new issues with car that were not there before. My shifter box was out of order and was not functioning the way it was before they did the work. When I told [redacted] about the problem he said that maybe who ever worked on the car before caused the problem and I told him that no one had worked on it but his shop. This problem was not there when my car was taken to his shop. So he said ok I'll fixed it for an extra $300 which is cheaper than what it would cost and he would find a used part for it and call me when its ready. I knew he caused the problem and I didn't know what to do because he kept denying it, so I agreed to pay him the extra $300 to fix and wait for the part. So I took the car home and checked under the hood and now I noticed that the engine dip stick was missing. So I called him and told him about the missing oil dip stick, he said he'll order one for me we'll be ready the following week. At the end of the following the dip stick wasn't there and he kept giving me new dates. Mean while I went and purchased one for myself and when I went to dip it in I found out that the old one was actually broken inside my engine and I know this was done by [redacted]'s shop because my dip tick was there when I took it to his shop. At this point [redacted] hadn't started not answering my calls and even when I had left him messages he wouldn't return my calls. When I called on my wife's phone he answered and when he found it was me and I asked why he hasn't contacted me, he said "I'm busy right now let me call you right back". He never did and that was the last time he spoke to me. This guy took a lot of money from and for nothing but loss.Desired Settlement: I want him to refund my money because my car is no longer drivable after his repairs. He treated me real bad and [redacted] cost me my car and my money.
