L & A Tools Reviews (1)
I found a [redacted] milling machine for sale on the internet . The item was fowned by LA Tool owned by [redacted]. I made contact with the owner . He guided me through the company web site and then proceeded to assist me in selecting the machine I needed which was a 1.5 hp variable speed [redacted] mill machine and I was very, very addiment in making sure the machine was in very good condition exp.( motor good all axis good condition and so on) and he asured me the machine was in good condition I advised him I wanted a new table power feed , a built in three phase converter and a x and y axis DRO. And he agreed and we settled on a price on $6000.00 with a break down on the price of each item. 1. DRO $900.00 2. Power feed $350.00 3. Phase converter $200 4. Vice $200.00 . Everything was agreed upon and he proceeded on giving me his bank information for the payment transaction and he assisted me in connecting with [redacted] to get the machine shipped to me in nc . And we set a date when the item would arrive at the ups freight terminal in asheville,nc. The money was transferred on fri 10-19-2013 from my bank to his and at this point out communication went down hill. I had emailed him back asking information on the brand name of the power feed and the brand of the DRO,but I never got a responce and I would call but never got a answer . I would keep callinf till I got an answer and when I did he would always ask me " now who is this and what machine did you get , I cant remember and I am not at my desk" when I did get to talk with him this was always the answer and thes got me conserned . It had just been a day or two and I just spent $6000. And couldnt remember. The first pick up day come and gone and after call after call the reply I got were working on it and this went on for about three weeks untill I finally made contact again via conference call with [redacted] the gentleman who set up the shipping of the item and on this conversation I requested my money back .
