My mother hired L.D. Ellis Plumbing, Inc. to do some small plumbing jobs at her home. Jessie Yopp the owner never personally worked at my mother's house, but sent a young kid to do the work and paid him $9.00/hour. The boy spent maybe 9-10 hours total. He set one toilet, put a very simple bathroom sink and faucet in, (which we provided the faucet) put in a kitchen faucet (which we also provided) and simply hooked the water line to the refrigerator. The bill my mother received was for $1018.46. The owner charged $785 for labor. The bill didn't have how many hours were spent or how much he charged per hour. The parts were listed separate and he tripled the prices on almost everything. We could have bought all of the parts from any hardware store for less than half of what he charged us. He charged for 4 wax rings to set 1 toilet and the toilet came with its own wax ring!! He is a crook trying to make a quick buck on honest hard working people. I would NEVER suggest anyone to hire this crook to do business with!!
