First off, I would like to apologize for the delayed responseI was In the hospital from September 1, until September 23, 2010, Unfortunately, after the extended hospital stay there were two unexpected deaths in our family, which made it impossible for me to return to work promptlyMy first
day back at work was October 10, Needless to say, I am still trying to return phone calls and take care of paperwork such as this.Mr*** has been a customer of Hudlow's since according to our computer recordsWe have never had any problems processing Mr***'s garments to my knowledgeHowever, Mr*** came into our location at NCreasy lane Monday, September 12" between 3pm-6pm to pick up some shirtsThe customer service representative looked up his account information and informed Mr*** that we did not show anything being dropped off to be cleaned for him since July 21, She then proceeded to ask W *** how many shirts he believed were dropped off, along with a description of the shirtsThe customer service representative tried to explain to Mr*** that the shirts he was describing- including the some number of shirts had been picked up from us on July at 11:41am, and that is the last transaction we hod for himThe customer service representative wrote the Information down (description and number of shirts) that Mr*** had given her, and she then explained that we did not have any shirts in the store that met the descriptions of the ones he said he was missingUnfortunately, since our paper records match our computer records for Mr***, with July 30' being the day that the shirts were picked up, and since he did not have a claim check to present, there was nothing we could really do except leave the information in our communication tablet that we keep at the stores.On September 13, Mrs*** stopped by our location on Creasy LaneThe customer service representative tried to explain to Mrs*** that she would continue to look, however all of our records indicate that the shirts were picked up on July 30, She also told Mrs*** that she performs a physical inventory weekly, and had not seen Mr***'s shirts for quite some timeMrs*** then told the customer service representative that one of the Hudlow's employees had stolen the shirts and that is why we could not find themThe Customer service representative told her that did not happen, and tried to reassure Mr*** by letting her know that this has NEVER happened in the past; and there have been video cameras throughout the store for a number of yearsShe did tell Mrs*** that we had the information written down from the 12th, and that she would continue to keep her eyes out for Mr***'s shirts; but unfortunately that is all she could do.On September 24, Mrs*** called our location at Kossuth Street at 9:am to ask where her husband's shirts were, and what we were doing about the problemThe customer service represenentative wrote down all of the information about the missing shirts that Mrs*** had given her over the phone, but having looked at Mrs***'s account with Hudlow's she proceeded to tell her that our records show that the shirts had been picked up on July 30th, and explained to Mrs*** that she would pass the information on to her supervisor.I was still absent from work, and therefore had not done anything with this InformationUpon my return, while trying to sort through the paperwork on my desk, I saw the letter from the BBS, and opened It on October 10, According to the letter from the Revdex.com, Mr*** contacted you on October 3, Ac I mentioned, I did not return to work until October 10, Therefore, I still had not contacted Mror Mrs*** about their concerns and let them know that the information they had been given by the customer service representatives at Hudlow's was correct - the shirts were picked up on July 30.On October 18, at 5:21pm, Mr*** called the Hudlow's location at Kossuth Street againHe told the customer service representative that no one had called him or found his shirts yetThe customer service representative explained that she had sent her supervisor an email and apologized to Mr***Mr*** then told the customer service representative that he wai going to the courthouse in the morning to take care of the matter and hung up.We perform a physical inventory at each Hudluw's location on a weekly basisclothing does not remain at any of our locations without being checked inEven If we do not know who the clothing belongs to, we still check it in and file It in "unknown"Our computer allows us to do a search for garmentsWe can enter dates, garment types; colors etcand generate a report that would show us shirts matching Mr***'s description from any time frame we enterThis report shows us all shirts matching the description for all of our locations regardless of the customers nameWe have run that report three times since September 12thWe have performed a physical inventory weekly at all locations, as we always haveUnfortunately, we do not have any record of Mr***'s shirts after they were picked upon July 3011.As I have mentioned, our paper and computer records matchThe last time that we received garments from Mr/Mrs*** to be cleaned was July 21, The shirts from July match the description of the shirts that Mrand Mrs*** state they are missingOur records show that these shirts were picked up on July 30,at 11:a.mWe have riot received any cleaning to process from Mror Mrs*** since July Unfortunately, since Mror Mrs*** does not have a claim check from Hudlow's showing that the shirts were dropped off again after July 30th, there Is nothing we can do except keep this information in our communication book for each employee to be aware ofI know this does not help Mr*** find the shirts he Is looking for, and I do apologizeI would also like to apologize again for not responding promptly to Mr*** and/or the letter he filed with Revdex.comDue to extenuating circumstances, I was unable to do so.Thank you for your time.Sincerely, Jennifer S*Hudlow's Cleaners
