Following are our responses to this complaint:
I have been in business for over 12 years. This is the first complaint we have ever received. Additionally this consumer has filed complaints for other sub contractors as...

well.
We hired Ldesigns to design, build and install our kitchen, laundry and bathroom cabinets and counter tops. We had nothing but problems with this business. First there were delays in starting the project, the color of the cabinets were not what was selected,
Our initial contract was signed on 12/23/2012. We were unable to get cabinetry into production as appliance information was not supplied by the consumer. An email was sent on June 11, 2013 requesting this information again. When this was finally received, we were able to get cabinetry into production. In the 6 months that passed our manufacture switched stain suppliers and we were unable to supply the initial selection. A sample of the new finish was supplied and taken to their home. We received approval for this finish via email.
the granite countertops were with corners not selected and had to be removed and redone making us go with a different sub that we selected.
We removed the vanity tops in the bathroom that were supplied with eased corners. We did make an assumption that they would not want a hard 90 degree corner on counters where there is traffic. This is typical as the hard corner is a hazard. We replaced the tops at no charge to the consumer. The sub-contractor they hired for the kitchen did the same thing for the kitchen tops. They also had to replace the tops.
The contractor ,[redacted] ,had agreed to supervisor the entire project and failed to be on site when the cabinets were installed improperly with very large non symetric holes cut out of the back of the cabinets causing issues with the finished plumbing.
I was on sight as I am typically am for all my projects. I am not there everyday. I have long term relationships (over 10 years) with all my suppliers and installers. If there is an issue on site they do not feel comfortable addressing they contact me.
[redacted] also was supposed to help select the granite and other items and never did.
Consumer chose to go to my granite supplier on there own. They never asked for me to go. My supplier ([redacted]) as seen me at their facility with all my consumers when they request my presence.
The top for the custom made corner cabinet and the desk on my son's bedroom were not finished we had to insist that they be completed as to the contract.

All of our cabinetry is supplied with a catalyzed varnish finish on all surfaces. This consumer requested that we supply matching finished material (stain cherry) for the tops of cabinetry that were seven feet high. We supplied it at no cost to the consumer.
There were many other issues such as doors hitting into walls
We supplied cabinet door stops where we could. Some cabinets that were of lesser quality, as specified by the consumer for the Laundry rooms did not have an integrated cabinet door stop available.
, shelving being visible when doors are closed,
This is on Butt door cabinets. Butt door cabinets are typically preferred as it allows full access to the interior of the cabinet as there is no center style. It is necessary for the doors to function properly that a small gap between the doors is present. This consumers cabinetry is a medium stained wood. The natural finished shelves are visible through this 1/8" space. This is evident in the displays in our showroom.
 door bumpers coming off,
These are stick on plastic bumpers that we and every manufacture uses to keep the doors from "banging" on the cabinet box. This system has been the same for the last 30 years in the industry. This is the first I am hearing this issue. Most likely due to enviromental conditions, such as, new home not being kept at a proper humidity level during the finish construction process. We would have gladly supplied a whole sheet of bumpers for them.
pegs not glued on and falling off etc. that have not been resolved.
First I heard of this from the consumer.
Now they are charging us a 10% interest fee on the remaining balance of $3,989.00 and threatening to put a lien on our house. This business has yet to finish their contract with us. We are very unhappy with their service and would not recommend them. su
On 10/1/13 I received a signed fax from the consumer with a list of items to be completed and a final balance due. We completed those items, and additional items. and did not recieve our final payment.
We also forwarded an email on December 5. 2013 with their final invoice. We asked in this email if there are any additional items that were needed to be completed. We did no receive a response until we sent out our next invoice, with late charges on January 15, 2014. Their response was " at present work is not completed"... no detail.
Additionally this consumer refused to abide by the terms on the signed contractor in regards to payment schedule.
We have gone above and beyond to satisfy this consumer.

And they should not be able to place a lien on our house.
