Dear sir/madam,My name is [redacted], I'm the manager at Lj nails, the salon was mentioned in the complaint letter from Mr [redacted] (case ID [redacted]). Thank you for let us know about the problem and I'd like to take this chance to make it more clear. Ms [redacted] came to Lj for regular pedicure and gel...

manicure on 5/20., one week later she contacted lj nails [redacted] admin girl about the chipped nails on her fingers and the girl said will redo them for free. This meant that we will fix the nails, touch up or re-polish gel on her finger nails only. This of course should not related to her pedicure or even her manicure because if we fix for her, we will only fix what get chipped and what needed to be fix. A pedicure or a manicure is a much longer process of service compared to nail re-polish thus cost more time and money to get done. We normally recommend customers to have pedicure done every 4 weeks. Also for the gel polish, normally it should last from 2-3 weeks but due to different daily jobs or how much sweat or oil... the body release, the polish lasts differently on different customers or even differently on the same customer for different times. Anyway if gel polish got chipped, we normally touch up or fix them or re-polish them for free within 1 week. By the time Ms [redacted] came to the salon, it was already over 2 weeks. She didnt mention anything about the [redacted] conversation and her problem to anybody at the shop, not the nail tech or the receptionist, she only signed in like "pedicure and gel manicure". That made them all thought that she would need a brand new service. Then new service of "pedicure and gel manicure" came out for $75, done by another nail tech who knew nothing about her problem. After that, she showed him the [redacted] conversation and wanted all service done for free, we tried our best to resolve the problem by taking $30 off the service and charged her only $45. If she had talked to the nail tech from beginning, he should have touched up or re-polished her fingers nails for free and done nothing to her pedicure or manicure. However he did provide full service of $75 and only got paid $45. Like we bring the car to the dealer for paint job and tuned up, if the paint got problem not long after that, we just touch it up, we wont do tune up again and again every time we fix the paint job, and we need to talk to dealer very detail so they know what to do, which one will be free and which one will get charged. Im really sorry for what happened but we tried our best to explain to the couple and discounted $30 for her service. We appreciate customers' business and will try to improve our services to serve our customers better.     Please let me know if you have any questions Great thanks for your help. Your truly, [redacted]

Review: My wife visited the LJ Nail salon and her polish be can to peal off within a week. She contacted them via [redacted] and they offered to redo the work at no charge. My wife went in on her first available day off to get her nails redone and when the free redo was finished the nail tech tried to collect $70 for the full cost even though she told the receptionist it was a free redo when she walked in. The nail tech and the receptionist called the owner and he said he knew nothing about it. They told us an American girl ran the ** page. They dropped the charge to $45 and we reluctantly paid because they were holding us there until they got payment. We messaged the ** rep and he or she said they were wrong and made the mistake. I asked them if we would get a refund and make it right and I was told "okay let me make this perfectly clear I went through our sign in sheets and our appointment book I found [redacted]s name and that was on May 20th that manicure was two weeks old I have held my tongue back trying to be respectful you do not know who you are talking to but I know you and your wife We DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS ANYMORE That's your answer Good luck on finding a new salon and DO WHATEVER YOU WANT CALL WHOEVER YOU WANT SAY WHAT YOU WANT GET MAD IF YOU WANT Is that clear enough thank you" So basically a no. In my opinion, this is wrong.Desired Settlement: All we wanted was what was offered. A free redo. I want a refund from them in the amount we paid and the ability to support the local business again.
