Review: On Friday, August 30, 2013, I called L Kenneth Hinkle & Son and left a message regarding my trash service. I was due to have Settlement on my home on Tuesday September 3, 2013. Since No one ever answers the phone at this "company", I left a message stating that I would be canceling service effective Tuesday, Sepetember 3, 2013. I asked them to please call me back so I knew that they had received my message. Trash pick up has always been Tuesday and Saturday mornings, every week. The weekend following my phone call to Hinkle was moving weekend. As you can imagine, there was quite a bit of trash, which was put out for final pick up on Tuesday. When I arrived that morning for my final walk through of my home, I pulled up to the house and saw that both of the trash cans that I had filled up had been dumped out all over my driveway and the trash cans taken. So, the trash company had clearly gotten my message, come to my home, dumped my trash on my driveway, and taken their trash cans. I find this extremely unprofessional and wrong in so many ways. First of all, there were MANY times over the past year that I never even put any trash out. Second, I asked them to please call me to let me know that they had received my message, which they did not. Had they returned my call, I would have questioned them about final trash pick up. Never did I expect them to just dump two large trash cans full of trash all over my driveway. The rudeness of this is incredible to me. I cannot believe that they have survived as a business for this long when they have AWFUL customer service, as in no customer service. They NEVER return phone calls. And clearly, when you cancel service, they make you "pay" for it, in more ways than one. On my day of settlement, I had to stand outside cleaning up piles of trash that they had dumped. They took the trash cans, obviously it was to be my final pick up, why would it have been too much to ask for them to take the trash along with the cans? I am so disturbed and puzzled by this whole situation. Incidentally, their office was literally across the alley from me, they did not have far to travel AT ALL. After I cleaned up the mess, I called them again to discuss this whole situation with them. No one answered, I left a message asking them to PLEASE return my call. No one has ever returned my call. They did make sure to send me a final bill though. I believe that because of all of the trouble they caused, they should waive my final bill. It is the LEAST they could do. Thank you for your time in this matter.Desired Settlement: Though it would not make much of a difference now, I would like an apology and for the company to waive my final bill of $66.00.
