Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10509584, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] To [redacted] ***,I have had NO contact from L&S to me, only Mr [redacted] seems to be satisfied [redacted] misrepresented the company's qualification to the job properlyI was threatened by this so called reputable businessman I do not want them back on this property When they left they drove through the yard with truck and trailer and took chunks of sod out of the front yard and drove over a drainage tile that I had asked them not doYes I refused to let them grout the tile floor on day five, because the underlayment and tiles were NOT PROPERLY SECURED to the floorTo refresh your memory, and [redacted] Six's as well, here goes We had problems from day one Wednesday February 4th, [redacted] Left after less than hours into the work day, to give other customers free es***ates and came back at 4:P.MMr [redacted] had already left and *** was out setting in his car smoking a cigarette [redacted] offered to take all the dry wall downI criedHe knew I was unhappy with what they had doneEND OF DAY I didn't think things could get worse The dry wall was awful and they worked to improve it on day Day did not go much better, and when they told me they would be finished by the end of the next day Friday, [redacted] just wanted to get out, but he had to devise a way of making it look like it was not because of their abilities I argued that I wanted the job done right not sloped through in daysThe wall tiling above shower was awful [redacted] offered to take down all the tiling on the walls above the shower I cried again, then settled down and took pictures with my phone [redacted] saw me doing this and told ***I said there was no way they could finish what was on the contract in that amount of ***eThey hurriedly slopped through the ceiling stomping jobsThey did not let the Kills Spray above fireplace cure (dry) to see if it stomping, the coverage was not even, thick in some areas and barely covering in otherThere was stomping material stuck to the walls, on the stone fireplace and the wooden valance at the front picture windowDay They slopped through stomping cleanup when it should have be done the day before making it an easier task That is when I told them I didn't want them to do the bathroom doorway enlargementSince they would be destroying the drywall job they were so proud of With what they had done so far, I knew there wasn't any way that making a larger door opening for a wheelchair was going to turn out well This project was way beyond their skill levelI was trying to make the bathroom handicap and wheelchair accessibleThey were destroying what was once a beautiful bathroom and home, by using the living room floor as their workship to cut tiles with a circular sawWhich was not the equipment they should have been using to make tiles the correct size I asked two separate gentlemen a question regarding the underlaymentOne of them had a tiling business for years, and the other is former missionary and member of my church who has done tile work in his houses himselfBoth men gave me the same response to my underlayment attachment questionThey both said it needs to be secured with screws every to inches apart The distances the L&S Roofing and Construction crew placed the screws were inches, inches, inches, and even up to inches apartI still have that inderlayment with holes where the screws were placed Also ONE of the underlayment pieces was put on upside down I pointed this out to ***, when he was laying tile on it and he said it was not a problem, but I noticed that the surfaces on each side was not the same (the down side was smooth hard surfaced and the top side had a rougher fiber weave texture) The one upside down underlayment was the area of the floor where the tiles were so loose they were lifted up off the floor when I vacuumed around the edges of each tileThese tiles were on the floor in front of the showerThe mixing of the mortar was not done according to the directions on the bag They just started pouring water into a bucket with mortar mix without measuring the two ingredients, and it was not even thoroughly mixedThe directions stated the ingredients needed to be mixed well to make sure all of the mortar was properly mixed, then left to set for eight minutes, then stirred again to ensure the mortar had the same consistency throughoutI pointed out their error, and they said they knew what they were doingIn their first attempt to mix the mortar they used an electric drill with a paint blending attachment and put a hole in the side of their bucketMore evidence of their expert ability and knowledge of how to tile was they used the small wall tile trowel on the floorThey needed a larger grooved floor trowel I provided a larger, heavier bucket for them to use They also used to two different types of mortarThe first was dark and so thick that there was dry mix halfway down through the mixture, because they didn't follow the package directions, so they had to add more water and mix it together againThis ***e the consistency was thinner, making the tiles higher in the first area in the middle of the floor than those laid in the second phaseIn the third phase of floor work, they used a mortar with a different color, texture and thinner creamy consistencyA week later when I walked on the floor, I would stub my toes on the corners or middle of the tiles, because tiling was not levelWhen I put shoes on the tiles made different soundsThe week after when I had a professional tiler check to see it he could grout the floorHe said definitely not because the tiles were not attached to the underlaymentHe used a device and tapped several tiles and the hollow sound indicated the tiles were not affixedHe took a spatula and and ounce hammer, then lightly tapped it twice to slip it in under the tile, and the entire tile came loose with small areas on the back of the tile less than inches long and 1/to 1/inch wide the only place on the tile that had any mortar stuck to itThe rest of the back of the tile was void of any mortar He said that if he grouted the tiles as they were, with the amount of traffic a bathroom gets they would all come loose and the whole floor would need to be replaced. He came back a second day to check the underlayment and saw the screws were put in too far apart to hold it tightly to the sub flooringThis underlayemnt had to come off because most of the mortar was stuck to it and not to the tiles I have to purchase more tiles and replace the underlaymentI still have to hire someone to lay the tile, grout and seal the groutingI had someone fix the tile above the shower unit, which was done wrong (a straight slot was cut in the tile instead of a circular hole)They were paid $***The woodwork around the window and the access opening to the shower pipes were left undoneThe doorway into the bathroom was not made wider, and I wanted [redacted] to give me cost es***ates for each job listed on the contract I asked [redacted] for that day I told them to stop working because just about every thing they did in the bathroom, living room ceiling and closet ceiling, were not done wellTheir work was definitely not $ [redacted] per day quality [redacted] forced me under duress to to sign the back of the contract with a statement that he dictated to me I will take a lie detector test to prove this statementHe made me pay him the $ [redacted] his said I owed him because if I didn't he would take me to court for breach of contract I asked him to deduct the doorway enlarging job, and he refused, meaning he demanded payment for work not performedIsn't he in breach of a contract? It's evident [redacted] overstated his and his employees' ability to preform HIGH QUALITY craftsmanship that commands the amount they were paidI feel he purposely did not show up to do the work until after the contract had been signed for days to make sure I could not back outThe very first day they were there working, I told them I did not want dry wall in the bathroomThe bathroom now has drywall out to the edge of the woodwork and putting face plates on the electric switches will be problematicThis has been a very stressful experience for me.Since my initial contact with the Revdex.com, I have had health issues from the stress of this experience (first, shingles, then panic attacks, along with trouble sleeping and weight loss), and if he will not settle this dispute by refunding $ [redacted] , then I will be taking him to court and suing for a lot more than the aforementioned amount I am the administrator of my father estate and have siblings who have seen before, during and after pictures of this remodeling nightmareI know my father's money DID NOT GET EVEN $ [redacted] A DAY WORTH of quality WORK, but I am (generously) giving $ [redacted] for (Wednesday and Thursday), and $ [redacted] a day for (Fri & Mon) to a contractor who was out away from the job site on day 1, and didn't show up until the afternoon on day 2, giving other potential clients (or rather vic***s) "free" es***ates on my father's dollar Paying $ [redacted] per day day of [redacted] =$ [redacted] and Mr [redacted] $ [redacted] for the days he worked ( Wed/Thur) on Drywall jobI feel $2, [redacted] is closer to quality of the work performed, by these men I now realize I should have called the sheriff's department and had them removed from the house and that should have been done on day one

Regards,
[redacted] To [redacted],I have had NO contact from L&S Roofing & Construction.  [redacted] has not contacted me by phone, letter, or come to talk to me.I did not recognize any settlement in your e-mail from [redacted] , that could be of any monetary benefit to me, only Mr. [redacted] seems to be satisfied.  [redacted] misrepresented the company's qualification to the job properly. I was threatened by this so called reputable businessman.  I do not want them back on this property.  When they left they drove through the yard with truck and trailer and took chunks of sod out of the front yard and drove over a drainage tile that I had asked them not do. Yes I refused to let them grout the tile floor on day five, because the underlayment and tiles were NOT PROPERLY SECURED to the floor. To refresh your memory, and [redacted] Six's as well, here goes.  We had problems from day one Wednesday February 4th, 2015. [redacted] Left after less than 2 hours into the work day, to give other customers free es[redacted]ates and came back at 4:30 P.M. Mr. [redacted] had already left and [redacted]  was out setting in his car smoking a cigarette. [redacted] offered to take all the dry wall down. I cried. He knew I  was unhappy with what they  had done. END OF DAY 1. I didn't think things could get worse.  The dry wall was awful and they worked to improve it on day 2.  Day 2 did not go much better, and when they told me they would be finished by the end of the next day Friday, [redacted] just wanted to get out, but he had to devise a way of making it look like it was not because of their abilities.  I argued that I wanted the job done right not sloped through in 3 days. The wall tiling above shower was awful. [redacted] offered to take down all the tiling on  the walls above  the shower.  I cried again, then settled down and took pictures with my phone. [redacted] saw me doing this and told [redacted]. I said there was no way they could finish what was on the contract in that amount of [redacted]e. They hurriedly slopped through the ceiling stomping jobs. They did not let the Kills Spray above fireplace cure (dry) to see if it actually covered the stain from an old leak in the ceiling above the fireplace. BY THE WAY, IT DID NOT CONCEAL THE STAIN, SO SAID STAIN BLED THROUGH THE MATERIAL THEY USED TO DO THE STOMPING.  Speaking of stomping, the coverage was not even, thick in some areas and barely covering in other. There was stomping material stuck to the walls, on the stone fireplace and the wooden valance at the front picture window. Day 3 They slopped through stomping cleanup when it should have be done the day before making it an easier task.  That is when I told them I didn't want them to do the bathroom doorway enlargement. Since they would be destroying the drywall job they were so proud of.  With what they had done so far, I knew there wasn't any way that making a larger door opening for a wheelchair was going to turn out well.  This project was way beyond their skill level. One of them had a tiling business for 35 years, and the other is former missionary and member of my church who has done tile work in his houses himself. The reason why L&S Roofing and Construction hasn't been out there is due to weather permitting, all the rain, we cannot tear a roof off when it rains every other day. I explained to the homeowner that we would be out sometime this week to complete him. I told him after Wednesday, it's 90% chance...

of rain. I told him after Wednesday we would be out, and I also told him we are finishing up a job and we would be out after we finish it up. When he signed my contract it was late August and I told him I was two months out before we could start his roof, and then we run into winter time and it was too cold the shingles would not seal. And both of us agreed to wait until spring to come out to install the roof, so the shingles would seal.
