The flooring delivered looks nothing like the sample or the photos on the website and the company has ignored our claim and emails. Customer service is clearly not their number one goal, or if it is they are failing miserably at it. We ordered a white oak product in a natural color and the product delivered has a ton of black knots in it. The company’s own rep commented that it looked like hickory wood when he saw the photos of the installed floor. In some cases, a single 2-3 foot board will have 5-7 black knots in the wood. The customer service team indicated that they ship A, B, and C grade boards with the C boards having some knots that they die black. We must have received 99% C boards! No where on the picture on the website do I see a single black knot whereas the floor installed has 8-10 black knots in a 3x3 foot section. The whole floor looks like a polka dot floor. The rep suggested to our distributor/installer that we put an engineered product over the wood product we have and that they would give us a $500 credit. $500 credit on flooring that cost over $7,000! What a joke. The owner Tom has ignore repeated emails as has the customer support manager. Stay away from this company’s products as you do not know what the actual delivered product will look like.

I got my engineering floor done by Empire Today in Phoenix, and the floors started chip/cracking after 3 months, still going on. After contacting Empire Today, I found out the manufacturer was LW Mountain. Empire is willing to replace the floor, but most of the floor samples I find I like are from LW Mountain. I don't want to go through the same headaches again...I noticed the sample wood pieces Empire left for us to decide also started having cracks. I think there's something wrong with the company's finish process.

Terrible company. We had 1100 square feet of hardwood flooring placed in our home in November 2014, by the end of November our floors were cracking and chipping. We contacted the company who installed our floor. They contacted Tom at LW mountain and he sent a third party inspector to our home who determined it is a maufacturer defect that occured in the drying process. Even after this report, Tom the Owner/manager would only do board replacements. We had 65+ bodrds that were cracked, this was an ongoing issue. I did not pay the amount I did to have my floor crack. I also tried to contact LW Mountain many times by both e-mail and phone calls and was never contacted back until I called and called and demanded someone come to the phone and was told that they do not have to speak to me! Really! Your website says 100% customer satisfaction. I guess that should have said 0%.
