L & Z Restoration Corp

Review: This is a formal complaint regarding the accident that occurred in our building garage due to the negligence of L & Z Restoration Corp who was hired by the management to do restoration in the building. The company owe us $6,250 for the loss of income plus expenses.The accident happened in May 2011 while entering the garage. The door fell on my car that caused damages to it. I worked as a limousine driver and self employed. My income is solely based on my car. My car was out of commission while being repaired for 4 weeks. We filed a complaint to this company ever since and they only talked to us once but did not made a settlement. Its been 2 1/2 years since the accident of trying to collect from this company. Contractor supposed to have a liability insurance to cover any accident that will happen. This company never contacted us since and now that the job is finished the more we cannot contact them. We sent another letter in May 2013 with returned receipt and they never even answered our letter.Desired Settlement: We want a settlement for the lost income of $6,250. If the accident did not occurred I should be making that money. Money that my family needs for our mortgage,maintenance and daily expenses. Being a self employed, means no work no income. The contractor's liability insurance should cover this accident unless the company has no liability insurance. If they don't have liability insurance then they are violating a law. They cannot practice their profession without the insurance.
