LA Auto Exchange - West Covina Reviews (%countItem)

I came in to purchase a vehicle about a month ago. . When it came down to signing the documents it took about 3 hours because the sells man kept making mistakes. Thats one of their tactics to have customers sign n sign documents. . They showed me a clean car fax with no Damage reported at the time . After reading and signing the statements of facts it only stated that I drove the vehicle and I inspected it. Never did it say it had structural damage. . So the sales man had me come back for my copies he said they weren't ready. . So after a month I did another car fax and it showed structural damage reported by the seller 4 days b4 I purchased it . I immediately called the manager and I told him regarding the car fax . He said he didn't know anything about the damage because car fax showed it a month after. . He denied knowing anything I asked him what can we do to fix this problem and he said nothing we are not doing anything. I went through my documents and came to realize they had added structural damage to the statement of facts after I had sign it they also add some type of insurance that cost 700 and they say theres no way around it . . . . There's a lot of victims of fraud by them . .

LA Auto Exchange will not refund $*** that was given to them. Stating funds were used to make repairs on a car, and it was my responsibility.
On Jan 24th at about 7:30 ish, my wife and I went into this dealership and met with ***. He showed me a Black R/T. After looking at and test driving the car, we set down to crunch numbers. Once we arrived at a payment I could work with, I asked about the scratches and dings on the Vehicle... He went to talk with his Manager who said yes, they could be fixed...we put down $*** as a show of good faith.. NEVER verbally or in writing to us or a sign up in the Company did it or they state that if we did not want the Vehicle we would be responsible in any way for the repairs being done to the car.

The next day I went to their sister dealership in Montebello and met with *** (they had a navy blue R/T that I really liked.) Same process was done with them as with their sister dealership... Their were dings and scratches that I wanted fixed... *** told me not a problem... That we would have to put another $*** (we put 1,200) and he would get the other $*** from W Covina. Once the car was ready we went back to *** to negotiate a price. After being told by *** and his Manager that they do not negotiate ever..... We were given back our *** and we left. Never did they state that they had to keep funds because the repairs were our responsibility..

Isn't this something that would have to be done for anyone? Isn't that a companies responsibility?

All I want is my full refund of $

Desired Outcome

Back my $

I was sold a car with a faulty transmission, and they are attempting to charge me $***+ to fix an issue the car came with.
I purchase a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid on the 11th of December from a man named ***, he told me the car was in working condition that I had nothing to worry about, etc., a less than 2 weeks later noises started coming from the car, I believed I was riding the gas too hard or something, so I just drove with more caution, but the noise persisted. I contacted *** on New Years Day, Jan. 1, to try and get it resolved. *** tell me to come in on Jan 7th, I go to get it checked out, not even an hour later *** and his Manager *** tell me the transmission needs to be fixed and that I will need to pay $*** out of pocket, and when I asked for a physical copy of the estimate, they refused to give me one, stating they could not. I told them I'd have to get a second opinion to be safe. I ended up being able to go on the 21st of January, where I was told the exact problem, the transmission struggling to move from second to third gear, and that I would need to replace the transmission. My complaint is that I shouldn't have to pay $***+ to fix something that shouldn't have been broken in the first place. I bought it in good faith because *** told me that it would run perfectly.

Desired Outcome

I would either like my car repaired complimentary, or be refunded my whole amount

LA Auto Exchange West Covina stole my money. I purchased a car from them. 61 days later, they haven't transferred title, nor reported the sale to DMV
On Nov 20th 2019, I purchased an automobile VIN# *** from the LA Auto Exchange West Covina dealership. *** is the dealership sales representative who sold me the car. *** is his manager. I paid $*** for the automobile.

Primary Complaint: Grand Theft
As of today Jan 19th 2020 (61 days later), LA Auto Exchange West Covina has not transferred title of the automobile to me. This is grand theft. LA Auto Exchange has stolen $*** from me by failing to transfer ownership of an automobile that I have paid for.

Secondary Complaint: Fraud
The sales contract listed a $*** higher price than what was advertised as the sales price by the dealership. The dealership sales representative *** insisted I pay the higher price because it was a "dealer processing fee" for the dealer to file registration paperwork with the DMV. This is fraudulent advertising and also grossly exceeds the $80 dealer processing fee maximum allowed under California Bill AB516.

Desired Outcome

Transfer automobile title to me before 1-31-2020. Reimburse me the illegal $*** "dealers processing fee" and also reimburse me $*** to cover the costs of my time and money spent trying to resolve this issue.

I have been trying to cancel my Gap insurance and my expresscode/etch/security insurance....I have sent emails to this dealer department *** and they haven't responded and I have called and they always have excuses....I called the company and it said I have to contact the dealer where I got the car which is the La Auto Exchange West Covina...the person in charge is *** or ***....I know everytime someone cancels those insurances the dealer loose that money and that's the reason they always dont want to do the canceling or try to make it go longer cause the longer it takes to cancel the more money they keep
Product_Or_Service: Gap insurance and Expresscode/etch/security

Desired Outcome

Refund I want my refund of my Gap insurance and the refund of the $*** platinum expresscode/etch/security insurance also

Please forward me the original email and we will get this cancelled, I will need a cancellation form completed and sent back to me as well.

Dealer won't give me a refund from a vehicle down payment of $*** until I give him $500. There was no contract
I financed a car from this dealership, with a down payment of $***. I returned the car to the finance manager since the loan was canceled and there was no more contract so I took it back. I asked if I was going to get a refund and they said yes. The finance manager only gave me about $250 of the $*** down payment and now he doesn't want to issue my full refund until I give him $500. There was nothing in the contract that said I had to pay him $500 or neither did I sign anything. I paid by debit card. I feel like my money is being held against me.

Desired Outcome

I just want my refund and that is it.

Dealer failed to follow through with promised repair and equipment when we purchased the car.
We purchased a 2016 Mazda CX-5 on May 10, 2019 and the headlight assembly was not functioning properly and the car was missing the navigation SD card. ***, our salesman, told us to bring the car back on Monday, May 13, 2019 to have them repair the headlight. He also said if the SD card wasn't in by then, he would mail it to us. We had to pick the car up on Thursday, May 16 because *** told us it was going to be another 2 weeks before the part would come in to repair the headlight. After many, many phone call attempts (***, *** and ***) to get this dealer to fix these items, as promised, we have been stonewalled. They will not let us talk to the manager and the operation apparently hopes that we will go away.

Desired Outcome

We want the cost of repairing the headlight and a new SD card so we can have it fixed ourselves. We don't trust this dealership and don't want to leave our car with them again.

This company finally fixed the headlight problem so I'm satisfied but I would never recommend them nor would I ever use them again...
Thank you

Unsatisfied with dealer services.
I purchased my vehicle on 08/27/18, that next morning I noticed two sensor lights and a noise from the tire. Immediately contacted the dealer. I was informed that everything would be fixed, dropped my car off for 2 days. When I picked up the vehicle nothing was fixed. I then spoked to the manager which is fixing the issue, however I was promised it would be completed in 2 days. today is 3 and still not ready. My concern is I have no other vehicle. I been paying uber. I was sold a car that wasn't in good selling conditions. I am paying $*** for my car and has needed repair so far totaling 5days.

Desired Outcome

I wanted everything repair in a timely manner. My concern is I purshased a vehicle in semi new conditions and been under repair totaling about 6 days.

Fraudulent Sales using incorrect and false CarFax Reports. Car had structural damage that was hidden from me by the seller.
In August 2017, I went to LA Auto Exchange to purchase a 2013 Ford Focus. At the time, the salesmen handed me the car fax report for this car. And while it did indicate a previous accident, it clearly stated no structural damage and a clean title. Had it indicated structural damage, I would not have purchased the car. In the 11 months I have had the car, I have had nothing but problems, engine issues, a dead AC and a dead stereo. But the biggest issue was selling me a car I can not trade in for anything due to the CarFax showing structural damage I was never presented at the time I bought the car. I have contacted LA Auto Exchange to discuss fixing this issue. I'm not looking to gain anything, I simply want to get out from this car and to get my money back for the purchase and give them back the car that was fraudulently sold to me. As of this day, they have yet to respond to my requests.

Desired Outcome

I would like LA Auto Exchange to take back the car that was sold to me, and refund me enough to pay off the remainder of the loan. I do not seek any payment for previous issues or payments made on the car (at this time). If LA Auto Exchange will take back the vehicle and pay the loan, i will be satisfied with this and move on.
