Review: I cancelled my membership, yet they still tried to charge my credit card. When the charge did not work, they immediately sent my account to a third party collection agency. Additionally, the management has never once returned a phone call or email in my efforts to resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter stating that my account is in good order and there are no outstanding payments and I would also like it in writing that my account is no longer with the third party collection agency.

This is in response to [redacted] complaint.
[redacted] came into our Bethesda locaion on June 30 to ask why she was being charged our front Desk person stated she was past due and explained that yes she turned in her cancellation form it was not before the 30 day billing cycle of her next payment.[redacted] was given the email address to [redacted] if she wanted more information. Our Customer Care Department received an email the same day June 30 to please "take care of this issue". On July 1 an email was sent to her explaining why there were attempts to charge her account. [redacted] as for proof that she was emailed/text as to which we sent to her. Along with a denial of charges from her account on May 28th,our system made 3 tries and the account payment was denied, before [redacted] stated the card was canceled on June 1.
I have attached all correspondence that we have had with [redacted]. I have attached a copy of her contract that states that 30 day notice must be given, if you look under the renewal policy you will see the $109 rate and the 30 written cancellation. It also states it under the cancellation portion.
**. [redacted] cancellation form is also attached with the date at to which she signed.
[redacted] stated she had not heard from anyone and that her account was in third party collections, it has not been put in 3rd party collections as we checked today. The only record we have of [redacted] is what is attached and May 6, 2013. When [redacted] came into the club to see why she had been charged previously March 28th and April 28th and she filled out the cancellation form the same day.
A letter of satisfaction will be sent, after [redacted] payment has been satisfied of the past due owed.
