This customer, Ms. [redacted], was at the store on February 10, 2018 and did indeed purchase a boys winter jacket for $89.95, I believe it was a size 4 if I'm not mistaken. I remember she was disappointed we did not have a bigger size as she would get limited use out of it - for this reason I remember...
she tried on the jacket multiple times in the store, deciding on whether or not to make the purchase. During this time she never complained about the zipper. The cashier that rang her up, zipped up the jacket, placed it in the bag, no issues. On Thursday February 15, the customer returned to our store with the jacket - it was dirty, one pocket was overstuffed with a toy, and the zipper was broken and a part of it was tearing off from the jacket. This jacket was clearly not in the condition we sold it in, nor was the issue a manufacturer's defect. Had it been, we would have taken it back and returned it to the manufacturer as is our store policy. If you could let me know what to do moving forward, I would really appreciate it.
