La Cocina #2, Inc.

Last night was my fianc's birthday, I figured it would be a nice gesture to take him to La Cocina for dinner, it wasn't. When we first arrived at the restaurant there was a manager standing by the door, named [redacted]. She saw us come in, and rather than greet us she walked away. We waited a bit and our waiter came and politely escorted us to our seat. Ten minutes into our meal, in the middle of the restaurant floor, [redacted] was yelling at one of her employees. She spoke to her in Spanish, but I understood the argument. There were also other Hispanic customers in the restaurant that understood. [redacted] was unsatisfied with the girl, who was sitting in the back rolling forks and knives into a napkin, she told her to do something more productive because it reflected poorly on the restaurant to have an employee sitting. I believe the fussing was worse! The girl then grabbed a vacuum and began vacuuming besides my table, I found this rude. I didn't want dust getting on my food. I walked to the front of the restaurant and figured since [redacted] was the manager she would solve the problem. [redacted] rolled her eyes and told me that it was "fine" that the vacuum wasn't raising any dust and to not make such a big deal about it. I told her I was not going to eat my meal anymore and was going to leave unless she replaced it. She said "no." I began to walk out and she followed me and began yelling at ME outside of the restaurant telling me I was exaggerating and that there was nothing wrong with the girl vacuuming while I ate. She said it's their job to keep the restaurant clean. I told her that I understood that, but that it seemed an improper time to vacuum, because dust was getting on mine and possibly everyone else's food. She followed me to my car and began to write down my license plate number, to avoid making my fianc's birthday more unpleasant, we paid. I asked her to give me either the corporate or her bosses number but she denied me both.Product_Or_Service: FoodDesired Settlementcheck. Business Response Miss.
