Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/06/09) */
We tried contacting the customer to resolve the issue. However, the customer indicated that the car has been totaled in an accident and that their insurance is covering the costs.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! THEY SELL VEHICLES THAT ARE LEMONS. THEY TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ?? THIS PLACE TRANSFERS THEIR NAME TO A RELATIVE TO AVOID BEING INVESTIGATED. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE " I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU" THEY'RE LIARS! PLEASE DON'T SPEND $19,000 ON A USED CAR THAT HAS MORE MILES THEN IT SHOULD. IT'S NOT A DEAL. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE. I HOPE TO GOD THEY GET THE KARMA THEY DESERVE.

Review: Dealer ship owner E[redacted] sold me a car as we are doing the test drive the engine light goes on, I question it an he responded with it the sensor, I will fix it dont worry, I'll take care of you. Before signing papers I asked about the engine light, again he reassures me it will be fixed. I return the next day to have mechanic to look at car, I was told problem was fixed. On my way home from the dealership the light goes on again. I was told to take it back again the next day I did, again I was told car was fixed. 1 day later engine light goes on again, I call E[redacted] he was unable everyday until the beginning of April, I get a call that they need my car for a smog and repairs, They pick it uo from work had it over 2 days used up all my gas then returned the car back to me. Car was ok until a day after its return, again engine light was on and using up way more gas the usual. I've called, stopped by the dealership and E[redacted] is never there, even though car vehicle is outside. I dont understand why they are cheating me, all I want is for my car to drive and be ok. I have a child I cant risk breaking down with my kid in the back seat.Desired Settlement: Fix the car

Review: I purchased a 2003 Ford Explorer Sportrac on 04/29/14 after being told a new rebuilt engine was installed with a one year warranty on the engine. I immediately drove the truck away no more than 3 miles when the check engine light came on so I immediately returned it t the dealership. It took ten days for them to "fix" the truck and I was told it was merely a warning bulb that had to be reset/replaced. The truck continued to smoke and I continually called the dealership who told me the new engine "was just burning off old oil residue from the old engine" and that I should continue to drive it". Two months later the truck completely stopped running and broke down. I immediately called the dealer who told me to go ahead and have an auto repair place diagnosis it as their mechanic couldn't look at it for a couple of weeks. The also stated that IF the problem was indeed the engine that it was covered under the warranty and they would pay for the diagnosis and ether pay or repair the vehicle. That was on July 11th and on July 14th I called La Costa to tell them the mechanic had confirmed that the engine had metal shavings in it caused by a combination of improper installation of the engine and a faulty re-built engine that had caused additional items to fail as a result. The estimated cost of repair was nearly $2,000. plus the diagnostic was $196 (which we had to pay to get the truck released to La Costa). We called and talked to both Eddie Oaella (salesman) and Eddie Oaella (owner) of La Costa who repeatedly told us they would pick up the vehicle and repair it. They did not pick up the vehicle until September 29th nearly 3 months later and although they continue to promise to replace the engine...they have not even touched the truck to this date nor have they provided any financial or transportation relief from being without the truck for going on four months! They continue to lie saying it's being repaired or the engine has been ordered when in fact nothing appears to be done.Desired Settlement: I want my truck immediately repaired with full 1 year warranty added to the loan & a loaner truck supplied by La Costa & the contract re-written to allow for the 4 months of pmts & insurance reimbursed under a new contract. Plus the cost of the diagnostic $196. IF the truck is NOT immediately repaired to our satisfaction, we would like the $2,000 back that we paid down, plus the 4 pmts & ins for the period we have been without the truck pus the $196 diagnostic cost plus $950 for rental car.

Review: He showed me car he sold me,(2008 GMC Acadia) everything inside including the GPS and DVD sistem which I like it for my kids (3). But he did not say they don't work, I realized that after I leave the dealer when I stopped to get gas, by the way the gas tank was empty with the light on that indicates need gas. I took the SUV to a Chevrolet dealer to check the GPS issue, they gave me a quote for a 1400 dls. So I called E[redacted], the salesman, he told me he mechanic will take a look, then they send me to a stereo shop to get a quote, it was almost a 1000 dls quote. I been trying to talk to E[redacted] bit now he's not answering my calls. Thank u for your time, I hope you or somebody can help me.Desired Settlement: I will like to get my radio replace, because after I went to 2 check ups its the only solution. If he want to put the original radio for me is fine, if he want to put a cheap radio but make to work all the features like back up camera, GPS Nav-Sistem, DVD and CD player Im willing to pay the extra for a better quality and looking radio, because his stereo radio told me he may want to install the cheapest radio.

Review: selling used cars online , on craigslist.and the cars that are being sold are being tampered with like with the mileage, because the car I bought from them the milage DONS'T move and I didn't received the smog certified like they said they will mail to me. since it was not found the day of sale but had current tags so I was in know hurry and I had a understanding I could use the car I bought from them as a trade in in the future when that day comes. Being a first time buyer I learned a costly price that could have been prevented, well this is how someone is willing to take avantage of someone else unknowalage of surtantine surcanstancesDesired Settlement: please check out this business cause its family owned and they are corrupt! All Im asking for a simple trade across for a equal value that I spent which is 1,950.00cash and if I was told everything which was wrong like. the odometer mileage reading, that it was a pervise stolen car .I would of never bought it even looked it.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Fast Auto Sales more almost 90 days ago and they have still failed to produce a title for the vehicle and have promised to return phone calls and produce a title which they have failed to do so. As far as I am concerned they sold me the vehicle without a title they claim it's coming from "Financing" which does not make one bit of sense to me nor does it make sense to my bank and I'm approaching a deadline where the loan used to purchase the vehicle becomes a personal expense and I'm not entirely sure but my bank told me that it's illegal to sell a vehicle without the title on hand I would just like an explanation or a direction I could go to deal with this.Desired Settlement: I would like the title to the vehicle as soon as possible, or even trade of the vehicle or just a full return of the vehicle and no further business with them. And if they're not doing business properly I want them to know that what they're doing is wrong.

Review: Hello, My name is [redacted], Me and my son [redacted] leased a car from La Costa Auto Sales in ventura C.A, The car we got was a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder Armada, when we first saw the car it was in beat up shape the car was dirty and had Illegal TVs Driver and Passenger side, The main concern of mine was the AIR BAG LIGHT was staying on as well as the Tire pressure light, Both could be dangerous to me and my family if we were involved in a accident, I told the company (EDDIE Jr)and They told us that they would put it in the contract they would fix all problems that we notice needed to be fixed, I told them the Air conditioner as well as the Air bag light and the Tire pressure light, So they put it in the contract! I have had the car going on 3 months now and they still have not fixed it! I have left the car with them 3 times the first time they said they fixed it and both lights came back on, second time I left it there for 2 weeks they called me and said it was fixed but the lights came back on the last time I left it there they called me and told me ok it is all ready we put a whole new part in. But both lights came back on! I finally said I have had enough and never talked to them again, Three days later I got a call from EDDIE who is the owner of the shop who said they lied they never really did fix the car that he could not do it cause it would cost him to much. So he straight told us they lied and did not want to fix the car, I have tried to get the car insured but no company will insure it due to the Air Bag light on and Tire Pressure. So I have not been able to drive the car cause they would not fix it. As well as I could not get it insured.Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit amount of (2,000) back. Or as close to as we can. Due to me not being able to even use the car or get it insured. The 2,000 amount that I gave them was for the Down Deposit on the car, The car payments I gave to the company they can keep, But the deposit amount I would like refunded.

Review: on July 27th 2014 I purchased a vehicle from La Costa Auto Sales after I lost my older vehicle in an accident (Total Loss) and I was a little bit worried about safety, The vehicle that I purchase from La costa Auto Sales had a AIR BAG light on, which I mention to the Owner and I was told that he will fix it ASAP, also on the passenger tire there was a ball like a golf ball on the side of the tire, also a Safety issue, as well as a light for check engine on the dashboard, I mention all this issues to the owner by the name of "EDDY" and I was told not to worry and that he will take of it, I put a total of $3000 down payment for the vehicle, and my payments of $385, after a couple of days I called the owner to get the safety issues fix, and he told me that he was going to order some parts and that I had to wait, time pass by and I kept calling, going to the dealer, and I was getting NO ANSWERS of when the car was getting to get fixed, One day the vehicle start having problems and I call the owner of the dealer and he told me to take it to The manufactured dealership in ventura "DODGE" and I did, just to find out that the engine had a major problem and that needed a $8,400 repair, I called the financing company about that issue, and they told me that they were going to contact the dealer so they can take care of that problem, The Dealership sent a TOW TRUCK to the dealer in ventura and the car was taken to La Costa Auto Sales, I talk to the bank and they told me that I had no Obligation with them and that they were going to Return the payment that I made on the account because there were no CONTRACT in effect, I ask them about the down payment and they told me to talk to the dealer for that refund as well, Is been 9 months and the owner keep telling me that he have a granddaughter in the hospital and I need to wait, I have 3 kids that I need to feed and they cant wait. Forgot to mention that I paid $745 for airbag and tire repair on DODGE. total $3,745Desired Settlement: A Complete Refund of the Downpayment of $3,000 A Complete Refund of the Partial Repair of Vehicle on Crown Dodge Ventura: $745Interest and Compensation for 9 months of waiting, All gas on going back and forth to the dealership. for a Total of $1,555Total Refund Expected: $5,000

Review: La costa auto sales sell you and extended warranty and a gap insurance provided by a third party.La costa auto sales gives the extended warranty contract to the buyer. But when you try to use those third party services. They reject services due to la costa auto sales keeps pockets the money. So in reality you never had the extendad warranty nor the gap..they take advantage of the low income hispanic community. They are liars and are making thousands of dollars on each car they sell.Fraud .And unlicensed sales persons..Desired Settlement: I Would like them to pay for the repairs of the transmission.that the extended warranty he sold me didnt cover it. He charge me and sold me an extended warranty and never sent the.payment to GWC..to resolve this issue befor legal mattters.La costa auto sales need to pay me $ 2500.00 so I can get my car fix at a licensed and certified repiar shop.
