I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  However, since this is a totally different procedure than what was done originally, I will not know the results for sometime after it has been completed. If all goes well and I do not have double vision or any problems with my eyes, I will consider this case closed. But I may not know for weeks or even months after the procedure has been completed on September 23, 2014.  I do believe that they are very good at what they do and I do believe that this enhancement will improve my eye sight.  I have confidence that all will go well.

Review: When I first went to the Lasik clinic I had a consultation with the doctor who was providing the service. I was told they that they had a 100% success rate and was FDA approved. I was informed that there was only 3 facilities that were FDA approved and that they were one of them. We agreed the surgery would be done. The procedure was done in September 2013 and was a compete failure. My vision is worse now then it was before I had the surgery. I have double vision in both eyes. I contacted the facility on several occassions and was told to wait six months for my eyes to completely heal, to keep my eyes hydrated with eye drops. I followed their instruction and nothing changed. My eyes never got better. I went to an eye doctor in Marquette Michigan and was told that I will more than likely need glasses. When I contacted the Lasik facility again I was told to keep eye drops in my eyes. I have done everything that the Lasek facility has instructed me to do and still no improvement to my eye site. I have recently tried contacting them again and they no longer return my calls. My surgery was not a 100% success rate and I feel that the company should be held responsible since they guaranteed me 100% satisfaction and failed. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: I am going back to San Diego in September 2014 and would like for them to do an enhancement on my eyes free of charge. I do not feel I should have to pay for repairs to my eyes when I was guaranteed 100% satisfaction. I would like a phone call from the Lasik facility to confirm my wishes and to set up an appointment for the time that I am down there.

Response:

The patient is out of state. He had 20/25 vision in his right eye, and 20/20 for reading (left eye) at his last visit at his local optometrist. We are very happy he will be coming to San Diego this month, and are happy to do his enhancement.
