Thanks Revdex.com,
Desired outcomes include:
1) Responding to my questions when I call or email seeking clarification regarding ACTUAL weight of my shipment versus ESTIMATED2) Once reviewed, would like them to reevaluate my costs to ships
Should be a $to $difference owed3) Explain why the "window" was outside of my close date which was stipulated at the time of estimate of servicesI feel as though they were very dishonest and have not returned a single call or email seeking clarification regarding the extra charges added only AFTER my goods were on the truck Pay or else

Dear [redacted],

I apologize for not keeping in better touch. The day you filed the complaint was the day that I received all the paperwork that I had been waiting for (the inventories and weight tickets) I got a chance to go over them and compare them item for item with my cube sheet (my inventory list) and I found a couple of discrepancies. I show that you did leave a bedroom set, a futon and a dinning room set, but there were 42 large plastic totes over my estimated totes, 4 bags of cloths and several metal shelf racks. I had 80 cartons PBO’s on my estimate and the were 82 so I know that I had 8 totes on my estimate when I checked the inventories there are 50 totes so there are 42 totes. There was a new TV on the inventories that I didn’t have on my estimate also and 4 bags of clothing, metal shelving racks. I had a couple on the estimate you have 8 on the inventories, that would 6 wire racks over and a new vacuum.

Regarding the insurance I sent you your original estimate with the 60cents per pound per Item. When I received your sign paper work back you had signed for the upgraded insurance. When I called and asked you if you wanted to upgrade. You said yes so I added it to your estimate. I have a sign insurance form showing your request for the upgraded insurance. This changed the estimated cost of your move from 4,370.53 to $4,581.53.

Regarding delivery dates, I originally had this shipment to load May 16th but it was registered to pick up on the 21st of May. You had contacted me requesting load date change to the 25th the 26th or the 29th because you were having issues with the closing of your home you wanted the 25th of May but that was a holiday and I couldn’t register to load that day, so you picked the 26th. The actual closing date was never discussed. When your home didn’t close in time for the delivery, and the driver wanted $300 per [redacted] waiting time, which in comparison to SIT (storage in transit) charges was a more than fair request. He saved you at least that much if not more in SIT charges, by holding your shipment on his truck.

Your final bill with waiting time and the GRR discount, I had estimated the weight of your shipment at 7,059lbs the weight came back at 6,990 a difference of 69 lbs. When your shipment was registered it came back with higher pricing. This was a not to exceed estimate and felt that it would be wrong to ask you for the additional charges, I couldn’t do that, so we paid out of pocket the additional cost of over $600 dollars so that we could keep our not to exceed promise to you the customer.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the allegations, I hope that I have answered all the claims to your satisfaction. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope you enjoy your new home; I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1)   The first paragraph  made very little sense.   What I gather is that she is stating that what was estimated versus what was actually loaded was way off and incorrect.  Nothing except the removal of items was changed from what we shared with her at the time of estimate.   If she failed to estimate properly, how was it that far off?
2) As for the waiting time:   not fair.   The closing date WAS discussed, contrary to her statement.   Why would I agree to set myself up for a possible extra fee knowing that my date was set at 6/3?   I was told by both her and the driver that it was not an issue.  Yet, once things were loaded, then EVERYTHING seemed to be an issue.
3)   I do not recall nor did I ask for the added insurance.   If I failed to read the fine print, that is on me.
I had attempted to resolve the matters directly with the company.  They had called me frequently up until the time where money was handed over and then they ignored all communication. They chose not to respond to me at all until after I had filed the complaint with the Revdex.com.   I had merely asked for an explanation of the charges since they were so far from my original estimate.   Regardless of the outcome here, this was HORRIBLE customer service.   I have moved across the country 4 times in my life and have never had such a poor experience as I had with La Mesa Transfer and Storage.    Her errors in estimating my cargo and delivery date resulted in a significant added expense.   They refuse to take any responsibility.
Regards,

Review: I have conflict with the delivery date as stated in initial estimate for service proposal which stated two dates, pick up and delivery date. specifically the issue is with delivery date July 15 2015. I understood this to imply the date I would expect to receive my furnishings at my new home address. the issue began when I spoke to my liason to confirm the delivery date and I was informed that the "delivery date" implies the date my furnishings would be transported from the warehouse in san diego to portland oregon. the date it would be received would be within a window between July 23 to August 4 2015. I stated that was creating an inconvenience for me. On July 8th I spoke to liason and asked for the possibility of earlier receipt of furnishings and was advised I would receive a callback. as of July 13th, I have not received any further options. during my initial conversation with the liason, I stated my intrepretation that "delivery date" implies the point that a customer receives goods or services, and that is the basis of my misunderstanding and the date I had coordinated with resigning from my employment to meet the dates of move and receiving my furniture. the liason continued to insist that was the transporting date. in any case, these dates were not clear on my initial appointment for the estimate phase, which I stated I would in the house and wanted to receive my furniture between july 15tth and July 17th and it was agreed upon and priced according to these dates (from my understanding the delivery dates had to be reserved and pricing based on criteria established by [redacted]).Desired Settlement: I request the following resolution either in whole or combination. Negotiate receipt of furniture prior to current projected date august 4 2015 without additional fees. Adjustment is fees, since I have relenquished my personal property on June 19 2015 I was expecting to cover temporary housing costs until july 15 2015 per my understood agreement with allied trucking. This unexpected delay has forced me to continue paying for temporary housing until August 4 2015. This is also causing me more expense because I'm forced to dine out for all meals as well. This has been a very stessful ordeal, I chose to the services of a moving company to avoid the stress of self moving, but current situation has possibly made my move more stressful than necessary

Review: The rep [redacted] had "estimated" our moving costs at $4,100 and I stated that we could not take delivery before June 3rd as that was our closing date on the new house. Before we moved, we decided to leave a large amount of furniture behind and asked if the quote would need to be re-estimated. It was not and not only did they show up early, which costed me $300 per [redacted] of waiting time, ($600 total) but the weight remained the same. Additionally, an insurance fee was "elected" on my behalf which I do not recall signing up for. All in all, the error has resulted in a $5200 delivery fee. Not only was this well above what I had agreed to, but was the same despite leaving the bulk of the heavy items behind. These concerns were expressed to her as well as feedback provided via survey to [redacted] and yet nobody has responded. I have reached out to [redacted] on 5 separate occasions since the move without resolution. This has been 3+ now. She screwed up on the estimate, the dates and now won't respond. Not a positive experience at all.Desired Settlement: Her errors cost me over $1500 at least and these folks don;t seem the least bit interested in correcting. They were so eager to contact me when they wanted my business, but they screwed up and won;t return a call. I want others to think twice before using this company.
