La Mode Organic Cleaner, Inc. Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by La Mode Organic Cleaner, Inc. regarding complaint ID ***.Sincerely,*** ***

I had an existing pick up/drop off relationship with this dry cleaner for over 2 years. On Saturday December [redacted], I dropped off 2 blouses and 1 dress to be cleaned and was charged $22.50 for the 3 items on Monday December [redacted]. Normally it takes 2 business days for cleaned items to be delivered. On...

the [redacted], when the clothes were not delivered to my apartment building, I inquired with the cleaners, who said they did drop them off. I worked with my building staff who said they had zero record of a dry cleaning delivery that day. Their procedure is to log every delivery into our automated electronic system. On the [redacted], my doorman who was on duty at the time of the supposed delivery, said he checked with every person in our building who had received a dry cleaning delivery that day (whether from La Mode or another cleaner) to see if my items were delivered with theirs. One tenant had my dress and delivered it back to our reception. The dress was stuck in with her bunch and it did not have a tag or receipt with my name or apartment number on it. She did not have the 2 blouses. Since the [redacted], I have contacted the dry cleaner several times, both over the phone and in person. They maintain that it is my building who lost the clothes, thought they have no proof or record of delivery for my items, only a receipt for the charges to my credit card. I have asked for a refund on the cleaning charges for the missing items, as well as reimbursement for the original cost of the items (approximately $100). The only person who I have been in contact with is Lou, who works in the store front. He says he is not allowed to make these types of decisions, and only Richard, the manager, can reimburse me the money. Richard has never been at the store when I have been there in person, nor will Lou contact him in my presence. He says he is not allowed to contact Richard on his cell phone. I have requested that Richard call me several times, and I have never heard from him. It has been 1 month since the original "delivery" date. I have disputed the charge for the cleaning on my credit card so that I can recoup at least some of my losses. I find this scenario absolutely ludicrous and as a consumer,  I am shocked that a service oriented business would treat a long-standing customer this way.
