Review: On September [redacted], 2013 I took an antique Turkish rug to get cleaned at Lamode Organic Cleaners. When I went to pick the rug on October *, 2013, some of the colors had run into other colors. I requested for it to be send back to be recleaned. After a month when I came back to pick up my rug, I was told that they had lost the item. They asked me to fill out a claims form so that they insurance could compensate me for the loss, however, the amount did not come close to the cost of the rug and the expense involved. It was an antique 19th century rug purchased in Turkey by mom as a special gift. I believe they offered $200 and I was asking for $600. To this date we have not been able to come to an agreement, therefore, I am forced to submit this complaint through the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: To receive the amount of $600.00 in exchange for the loss of the rug.

We send all the rug out to [redacted]
Basically the customer failed to present purchase receipt of the rug so the insurance company for [redacted] rejected this claim. Then we have searched online and we can buy equivalent new rug under $200 and that's why [redacted] offered $200 to compensate.
It is mainly [redacted]'s responsibility for loss of the rug and if you want to deal with this matter, it is better to deal with them directly because they don't deal with us but with the customer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Review: I dropped a shirt off at La Mode Organic Cleaner. When I returned to the store with my ticket, I was told that the shirt was missing. After a number of phone calls, visits to the store, etc., the store told me that the shirt was permanently lost. They then told me through some sort of convoluted logic (which I did not understand) that it was my fault that the shirt had been lost by the store, even though they acknowledged that I dropped off the shirt for cleaning and that the shirt had not been returned to me. Based on their logic, they refused to reimburse me the value of the shirt (approx $85), instead offering me a small amount of store credit ($27.50), when I obviously am not going to get anything else cleaned - even for free - by a dry cleaner that already lost one of my shirts.Desired Settlement: refund of $85/also, perhaps some sort of acknowledgement that the idea that the lost shirt was my fault - when I had dropped it at the store - is absurd
