La Perle Concrete Reviews (2)

Review: To begin, BOTH of my parents were in separate hospitals at the time of this incident. On June 13th, I came back to my parents'home to find a 10 X 10 foot block of concrete jack-hammered and broken at the beginning of the driveway. I went straight to the Mobil Country Club office and said that I had not been given notice of the driveway being pummeled. [redacted] said, "They are clearing the concrete as we speak." I informed both [redacted] and [redacted] that my mother was getting out of the hospital on June 14th and my car was in the driveway. The neighbor said the concrete guy asked her if anyone was home and she told him that the owner's daughter was staying for a few days. He told her he would figure it out.

The next day I brought my mother home to a dirt driveway with roots that were too sharp to drive over.

The Bobcat tractor was blocking the grass and the driver was smoking near the mailbox.I asked him if he could move the Bobcat so I could drop off my mother. I noticed that there were Bobcat tracks vertically across the lawn and he had broken a sprinkler. He complied and I parked the Cadillac in the driveway. I had to return home to my job in Virginia City, but my family friend, [redacted] stayed with my mother until my days off came again. They poured the concrete on Thursday.Desired Settlement: Pay for the broken sprinkler; apologize for telling me, [redacted], "Just go back in your house, lady!", and last, reseed the muddy Bobcat tracks in the lawn. The person who poured the concrete said [redacted] could write in the corner after he left, and told [redacted] that we could drive on it Sunday night. Last, communication needs to occur between the owner and his employees. The employee told us we could drive on it, & the owner comes to the project and does not introduce himself, incredibly angry.

La Perle concrete installed a 6 by 6 foot concrete pad in front of my above ground pool. they showed up on time, worked quickly, and the finish on the pad worked fine. a few days after they were paid for the work I went out to take a close look at the pad and discovered several problems.
Without asking they took about 6 cubic feet of crushed granite from a nearby stock pile I had set aside for a different project and used it as a bedding material for the pad. Now there is no longer enough rock for the project I had planned.
Second, despite ordering the pad four inches thick, the pearl installed iPad at only three and a half inches thick. that doesn't sound like much, but that half inch save them one and a half cubic feet, or about 5 sacks, of concrete. It also means at the pad is only about 87.5% as thick as it should be.
Because La Perle used my rock as a bedding material, at least two corners of the pad are elevated about an inch above the ground, creating a situation where that bedding will run out from under the pad over time and increase the likelihood of the corners failing in the near future.
Lastly, they left the forms in place. despite promising to come back and remove the forms no one ever returned.
I have called [redacted] at La Perle in an attempt to talk about these problems several times and left messages, but no one has returned my phone calls.
