I am a current tenant at this apartment complex. I have had the same problem last year as well with the management at this property. Last year in mid March it was extremely hot and they refused to turn on the a/c and stated that it would not be turned on until the end of April and yet again this year I am having the same problem however I am being told that it will not be turned on until the end of March. The excuse that was given to me by the manager was that the temperature was going to cool off next week this was last week and it is suppose to cool slightly off for one day to two days then it's back to being hot. I pay for utilities that are included in my rent and yet I am being told that I have to suffer until the end of March. The property has since changed management to [redacted]. I have a baby as well as three other children in the apartment who are catching colds because we have sleep until the fan at night just to stay cool. I pay my rent on time every month and I know my tenant rights and know that the landlord is suppose to provide the cooling and heat as the temperatures change and not when they feel like they should. I need some help in getting my point across that you can't take people money and not provide them with the required essentials. I understand that apartments on this property are on a boiler/chiller system however they still have the heat on when it's almost 90 degrees outside and on some days it reaches that. The apartments are two story townhouses so it's hotter up in the bedrooms then it is in the living rooms.
