They picked up our furniture on 1/9/2015. All they tell us is that it is "in transit" but will not tell us where it is nor how much longer it will take. In the other we just gave her an estimate time for delivery, never a exact number of days, the reason for this is that we have to consolidate a container with certain amount of cargo before its shipped. We apologize for any delays. Mrs [redacted] must be receiving a call from LRDM in the upcoming days.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The reason we had to change the final destination of our furniture is because it did not arrive in the 3-4 weeks, or 21 day estimated arrival. We were temporary staying with a family in Chicago as we searched for an apartment in [redacted] only 30 minutes away from our initial delivery location request. Rosa del Monte has not apologized or tried to reassure us that our things are coming. We have receievd no updates on the status of our furniture. And now they expect us to pay an additional [redacted] for changing the final destination where it is only 30 minutes away. The Rosa Del Monte warehouse is in [redacted] so I do not at all believe that our change of address has contributed to the delay. We would not have filed this complaint if Rosa del Monte was initially forthcoming with the true time of delivery, if they contacted us to let us know that there was a delay, and if we had not had to pay the full amount upfront for such a delayed move.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)How is our move very different than others? We only had furniture for a small bedroom, living room, kitchen, and 8 boxes. We would like to be reimbursed for the EXTRA [redacted] we had to pay. We paid the initial contract amount in FULL and ON TIME and we were very displeased at how long it took for our move to arrive without any communication from LRDM. Our things arrived in tact and the movers that delivered to our home were very efficient. However the overall customer service was poor whenever we called to find out the status of our furniture. All they would tell us was that it was "En Transito" and could give us no further information. That makes us, the customer feel like you took [redacted] and all of our belongings and that we had no idea if we would ever receive them.Final Business Response we sorry for any inconvenience, but our company never gives a exact date for delivery on any case, this was delivery on [redacted] with out any problems or complains.this was a very different situation from normal moves and we did what we can to make all changes on our logistics to adjust to all changes made by the customer

I call La Rosa Del Monte To do the moving for me and I was told that it would arrive in about 3 to 4 week's And today I was told that it would take about two to three more weeks when they get more for our area. and we try to explain to then that we need the hospital bed. I fill that they should have told us. Paid 1360.00 to ship a car from Puerto Rico to Massachusetts, now they want to charge 380.00 in cash or money order for unspecified charges ??? La Rosa Del Monte in Worcester,Ma (XXX)XXX-XXXX want to charge an additional 380.00 (unspecified charges)not included in the contract, they want cash or money order no credit cards. I asked what are these charges for and wont get a straight answer. I paid 1380.00 for shipment of my car which was the only charge mentioned in the contract and/or the company official. The contract is [redacted]-XXXX-X Desired SettlementTo eliminate this unspecified charge of 380.00. And release my car to me.Business' Initial Response Ms. [redacted] does not understand what I explain to her that in the contract that she signed on the part of TERMS AND CONDITIONS # 11 explains about any charges that we will made if containers are inspected. We understand that she don't agree with this charges, but that's way we have a contract sign by her and a receipt for all the charges that we have to apply and else I explain to her about the charges of storage if she does not pick up her vehicle after 5 days.this is on the TERMS AND CONDITIONS else, part # 17 and she said to me that she knows about this storage fees, I just hope that she don't make another case for that even know that's in the contract that she signed in Puerto Rico.let me know if copies of our terms and conditions are needed. Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I paid the extra 380.00 inspection fee because I needed the car and to avoid additional storage fees.The inspection charges were never explained to me before contract signing yet they did inform me of an optional insurance fee. In these containers 3 automobile are stored if all are charged 380.00 that means that total container inspection cost is 1140.00 x container and that is execessive and I don't know what the criteria is for selection of a container for inspection is ???????? Business' Final Response From my understanding, when a person is signing a contract, one of the responsibilities of the client es to carefully read it. On La Rosa del Monte contract Item eleven is very clearly explained that in case of inspections there can be additional charges.Mrs. [redacted] car came with other 3 cars in the same container. In case of inspection the fee is equally divided among the clients in the containers.The Homeland Security government agency within the the department of customs randomly selects container to be inspected.Further more in the date and signature section there is a disclosure that reads A S follow in red bold letters:"THE SHIPMENT WILL MOVE SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS BILL OF LANDING FOUND ON THE REVERSE SIDE HEREOF AND APPLICABLE LAW"
