I am very disappointed how this company responded to my demand,
Again,
On October 7th ,
2014, A1A Overhead Door Company came to my house to provide me with service of
my garage doorFour days later my family pet, a cat “***” was killed by the
garage door after technician failure to balance and adjust the garage door with
the new replacement torsion springs they INSTALLED, causing the garage door not
to reverse when requiredA homeowner classic test to check the garage door
balance was performed and it confirmed that effectively the garage door was not
balanced and the door feel heavy or required two hands to open itA license
and permitted garage door company certified in ** *** *** on October 14th,
2014, certified that my garage door was not balancedFortunately, any of the
family members has not been injured from the malfunction of the garage door
because of your failure to perform the properly balance and adjustment of the
new torsion springs that you installed in my garage doorOn October 14, I
called A1A Overhead Door Company and an employer hanged me up the phone after I
requested service to fix the problemI also found that this company has not
permit to advertise and perform work in ** *** ***The county gave them
the application to fill out for that permitOn October 16, no choice to
call *** *** to fix the problem and the technician adjusted and
balanced the garage door
This company is negligent,
no compassion, no apologization for anyone, be aware using this company
I requesting from A1A OVERHEAD DOOR COMPANY cash refund for
the amount of $
To whom it may concern, the only real truth to this matter is that we replaced springs for on the specified date in questionWe were called out to replace springs at the homeowners house for 225, we we arrived the homeowner acted quite strange when we arrived , one being trying to get me to
do the job for cheaper than was quoted over the phone and two opening his attic access climbing up and down to and from the attic not carrying anything to or from it rather trying to peek or spy on us doing the workOnce we were done we checked "The Balance" of the door and the homeowner also wanted to see that the door was "Balanced" so he didWe also made some suggestions to him on other repairs in which he declinedWe were then paid and leftIf this door was not so called "Balanced" we would not have been paid and would have had to correct thenThe homeowner then calls the city on me to try to get me in trouble I guess but was unsuccessful at doing so for you do not need a "Permit" to preform service workYou need a "Permit" to change the structure of the houseHe then tried to extort money from me to the tune of 2500$ which I ignored stating his cat was killed because the door did not reverseWell that statement says it all the springs don't make the reverse they assist the door to move up and down the opener is what did not reverseIf this at all what happened to the catIf it did my sincere condolences go out to the family, but just because I preformed work on the house does not warrant my responsibility on this matterThen dragging a child into and adult matter you should be ashamed of yourselfTherefore there will not be a refund of any sort to the homeownerYou paid for springs installed and you got two springs installed anything outside of that is not my responsibilityThank you and have a great day!
I am sorry he is not accepting the response We are not refunding anything The customers door was broke and we fixed what was brokeWe are not a charity we are a businessWe provided our services
