As an temporary employee for TrueBlue's sub-division People Ready, I gone out of my way to access my proof of employment and income from People Ready. I was originally informed by the Cave Creek location, I had to go each location I worked out of to receive a hard copy. I drove over twenty miles to the Cave Creek location (Phoenix Arizona). Once I arrived I was told they did not tell me this information and they handed me a flyer with online instruction on where I could access a copy of my proof of employment and income. I went to the local library and accessed the web-site (www.theworknumber.com). The details on the flyer were not specific and I had to call customer service at 800-367-2884. I was transferred three to four times, and each operator wanted to know who was my representative, and I once again had to explain I needed the sign-on details so I could access a hard copy for my SSD application, which I was going to mail in per SSI's request for proof of employment. I finally contacted the customer service line for a fifth time and refused to be transferred again, and explained I need a hard copy for myself and they wanted to know who I was giving the copy to. Finally, I got the login page and created an account only to find out my information was not in the system and had to contact the company to have them put my employment and information in the "theworknumber.com" system. I called the corporate office and was never able to speak with someone. I was asked to leave a message and someone would get back with me.

I was told I would recieve a check to pay for the set up of a home office. The check was sent via FedEx. I was told the check was marked as fraud and then I was told they (TrueBlue) would send a direct deposit and that they would need my user name and password for my bank, which I did not give them

People Ready of Bellevue is sending workers onto jobs with no tickets, and ensuring they will be paid on time regularly. I've filed a complaint for wages with the appropriate, but this type of business practice is unacceptable. It's not only bad from a wage perspective, but also from a service standpoint. How are we supposed to provide service to a company that is not keeping track on their documents for its workers? I have yet to be paid for a job I've completed, but everything to this point has been word of mouth from the manager the Bellevue location.

I received a call from the Labor Ready - 1713, Market Street, Boardman,Ohio location on August 28, 2017. The customer service representative called to notify me that my background check was completed and I was to report to *** located in the Ohio State Penitentiary the next, August 29, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. and was scheduled until 7:00 p.m.
I worked at that *** located as a temporary worker until Friday, September 1, 2017. The hours worked were: August 29th from 10:30 a.m. - 7:00. August 30th from 11:00 a.m.- 7:00, August 31st from 11:00 a.m.-5:30, and September 1st from 11:00- 5:30.
I received my pay the following week on September 6th, however the pay for hours worked were short. I was not paid for the hours worked on August 29th from 10:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m.
I notified the csr on September 6th, September 7th, September 8th, and September 9th about my paycheck being short for the 8.5 hours worked on August. She said she would correct the problem and I would be paid. As of today, September 23rd, I haven't been paid for the work .

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I was paid on October 5, 2017 for work preformed on August 29th, 2017. I had to wait will over a month to be paid.

Sincerely

I *** signed up for a job that came across my phone using People Ready app on Friday,Aug 18,2017. The job was a labor position in East Tacoma 15.00 an hour set up for Monday Aug 21,2017 at 6:15am.
Knowing I had to start early in the morning I went to People Ready at 5:30am and asked for my ticket and work boots when the lady working the desk had told me that she called off my job that I had set up to do last week because she tried to call me, my phone never rang and I showed her my call log on my phone which had not had any incoming calls and yet the lady stated well we have paople working this site already and has been working for some time and so they have no room for you anyway and you are not needed on this job site today. If they had the position filled then why was there a posting for it last Friday. Lady was rude took my gig away for no reason with no phone call and I believe they are being preduce there are other people who claim they have had similar issues. They are supposed to help locate jobs and make sure we get paid same day. This job was important to me and my family today and instead of offering me an equal paying job due to their mistake of cancelling the gig I had scheduled to work for days ahead of time they want to offer a lower paying one and I asked them is there a higher paying job available they hung up on me and now won't answer my call or texts. These people are unprofessional and now I'm struggling to find work today.
