I'll start with the positive, the staff is mostly friendly and the apartments are mediocre qualityUnfortunately, the positives end thereI am on my second apartment with themI started in a two bedroom and moved to a one bedroom after my roommate backed outThe staff was very helpful to switch me to a single bedroomMy first apartment had gnats the entire time I lived there (months) and being a neat freak and eating most meals at home it drove me nutsWhen I asked for the pest control to take care of it I was told there was nothing they could do about anything that can flyThe biggest problem I have with this place though is the security deposit policyDeposit has the implication that you will get it back at the end of the leaseHowever, this is not the caseThere is a $cleaning FEE that is non-refundable no matter whatwhile clearly stated within the lease, that is a high price for mediocrityI was charged over $for a broken crisper in the fridge that I didn't breakI pleaded my case and they told me there is a guy that goes in by himself and takes pictures of the property with no regard for chain of custodyMy best guess is that he broke it and didn't want to pay for itWhen I presented this as a possibility I was yelled at by the woman working there"You're calling him a liar, is basically what you're saying!"While I respect calling it as you see it and understand her frustration I was trying to keep the conversation professional and civil and that was made difficultLong story short it's less of a deposit and more of a feeDon't expect to get any of it backThey also have something called "preventative maintenance" in which they come into your apartment weather you are there or not on a quarterly basisAs a constitutionalist, I see this as a clear violation of your fourth amendment right to privacyIf you are thinking of putting your daughter up in one of these apartments how pissed would you be if they let themselves in while she was in the shower? Or simply forget to lock up? Being right across the street from the U of A you may not worry too much about people breaking in but I had three drunk guys try to break into my placeNot sure if they had the wrong apartment but they scattered quickly once they saw me insideThe outside is mostly unkempt and you will be tripping over bushesI was advertised to get walk in closets and they are about feet wide by feet deepThe only thing that is "walk in" about them is that they have a light inside themI was also advertised full size washer and dryer and they are clearly stackable half sizeI was advertised high speed internetFCC regulations as of January states that high speed internet is defined as MBPS you will be lucky to get 2/of thatYou can barely stream Netflix and only at certain times of the dayGood luck with thatMy first apartment had wood floors and it became very apparent that my upstairs neighbors did too with all the noise from scooting chairsSo in summary lots of noise from wood floors above you and college parties, grounds are not kept very well, break ins are a threat and prevalent amongst drunk college kids, they invade your home for "maintenance", and their policies are totalitarian and confusing at bestI would not recommend this place but that is up to you to decideIf they read these reviews and try to make their business better, I will be happy to update but for now I have a poor impression for the above reasons
